So on brawl central a japanese gamer got the game already.

Check it out it's pretty sweet. But 21 starting charcters? That must mean that maybe if this is real this 44 or 48,50 characters might be a reality? The picture of the disc looks legit.

Any thoughts? Check it out

If this is real that means the final roster isn't far off.(hopefully)
It's right on the front page

Well a gamer on a japanese gaming fourm called 2 chan. :)
But I hope stuff is leaked left and right. At this point it will be nice to know how the wifi handles if it works at all. Well I'm going to wait and see what happens in the next day or two...

Does anybody else have the same fear that I do that there are no unlockable characters?

We know that Jigglypuff, Ness, and Lucario are unlockable :)

I have to admit that has worried me as well, but now that we know that THOSE three are unlockable, there has got to be Captain Falcon and a bunch of others too. And Ganondorf!

My favorite has always been Luigi. Now that wavedashing's gone, though, I'm looking forward to branching out to a bunch of other characters.

WD'ing is short for "wavedashing," whereby a character obtains extra mobility by exploiting a glitch in the Melee physics engine. Basically, as soon as you initiate a jump with X or Y, you execute an air dodge, usually with R. However, when an air dodge places a character at ground level, the game interprets this maneuver by placing the character upright and in a standing position, yet the character gets scooted across the floor with the momentum obtained by the air dodge. The net result is that a character can move left and right without moving their legs, and without the lag time associated with the defensive dodge (also, without the temporary invincibility). For people who play competitively, wavedashing is important as it provides gives many characters additional speed and maneuverability while retaining the versatility of the standing position, from where they can attack, shield, grab, do more wavedashing, etc (for instance, many standing attacks that are better than attacks done while running). That's basically it in a nutshell.

Getting it right, though, requires quite a bit a muscle memory and training. Personally, I was never up for that, and so I just use wavedashing for fun/entertainment. Luigi has the most accentuated wavedash, and this usually leads to fun and entertaining things, such as wavdashing myself off of cliffs, etc. :D

noooo:mad: if there really isn't wave dashing then something else better make up for it:(

edit: and also, the developer supposedly knew about wavedashing and intentionally kept it in for Melee...so why would they decide to take it out now?
