Official Smash Bros. Brawl Thread [SPOILERS!]

OK I know I dont quite get what people see in it, but I'm certainly getting this as soon as it's released (assuming it will work with my wii) :)

Since this is a spoiler thread now, what do you think of the roster?

35 isn't bad but I think the speculations of a 45+ roster got me over hyped. What I don't like is the lack of third party characters. 1 or 2 more would've made me happy. With just Sonic and Snake it seems out of place, but great characters nonetheless. I wanted Megaman to be in it so badly. Just one more 3rd/2nd party guest would've made it a Brawl IMO.
 
I feel the same as you, but overall I am very pleased.

Maybe SSBB will have downloadable content? Would be very possible! ;)
 
Okay so I've been getting Caroline to tell me the Smash Bros updates whilst my 'nets been down. But wow yea so I'm going to buy this game and not move for a good 6 months. Toon Link?! Fookin awesome! Really loved the last few updates too. lol at VC demos, what a nice way to look back at what games founded Smash Bros for the younger folk.

Oh and I've gone from 512kbps to 2mbps internets, lag free city :)

Well, they have to save some stuff for the next Smash game, don't they? Which will probably be for the Wii's successor....since there's only one Smash Bros. game per generation.

I would have liked Megaman too. But ah well.

Is it possible that there's a super-secret hidden character that hasn't been discovered yet?

I was. I had every single character spoiled for me in one way or another (IMs, people putting character titles on YouTube videos that show up under "Related Videos", blog and forum thread titles, etc), so when I finally gave up and looked at the leaked character select screen I realized I knew every single character in there.

Bah.

I'm avoiding YouTube videos of most of the stages and characters in action, though I've seen the titles and names.
 
I just watched a video with all the final smashes. It's pretty disappointing that there are some repeats and that some look bad but most of them look awesome!
 
I hope by the time the game comes out here, somebody cracks the encryption and we're able to share screenshots and videos from our SD cards. :)
