can someone tell me how to do a restore and get rid of the jailbreak? im new to jailbreaking and im just not liking this to be perfectly honest with you. i think im just going to restore and wait a few days until some of the bugs get worked out.

can u actually brick your phone with this? or is it still the same with going back to DFU mode if it goes wrong

Hopefully you did a backup before you jailbroke your phone. Anyway, just do a restore and your phone will be good. If you did a backup, choose the latest backup to restore to.

i did exactly that, but ive still got cydia showing up.

Many, many Oh so many!....but i give you just one

Facetime over 3G :D
Too bad there's no JB for ichat desktop <-> iP4.

Hey, if you JB can you still use the Apple iTunes store and everything else? At the same time you can have Cydia apps and iTunes apps on your iPhone?

Anyone here with a solution for the "Call Forwarding Active" message popping up whenever I make a phone call on iPhone 4 4.0 running the new jailbreak? Kinda driving me crazy!!

Everything's working pretty well so far, with the exception of the apt.modmyi.com repository being down. There are still some obvious fixes that have to be made in some of the Cydia apps, but my iPod Touch is doing well with the new jailbreak. I'll still wait until the FaceTime/MMS bug is worked out before jailbreaking my iPhone. I don't feel like going through the whole restoration nonsense.

Try doing a restore with new iphone. See what it does then.

guess that means im going to have to update to 4.0.1 now. i got this iphone as a replacement after the signing window for 4.0 had closed!! oh well, there about the same anyways! unless someone else has an idea??

Plenty of reasons why. Clearly you havent done it or you would know.

I JB back with the 3G. Other than the tethering app... I see nothing in a JB that's so cool I gotta have it. I would actually like to know what's out there that makes things better, and changing the icons is only a selling point for tweens.

What about SHSH verification from Apple?

So how do I un-jailbreak my phone.

I jailbroke it, but I want to go back to my old regular iphone 4 with 4.0.1 on it. I tried Restoring to my backup of two days ago and it's still has Cydia installed.

how do I get it back to normal? and how can i tell if I got rid of the jailbreak?

Thanks and sorry for the noob questions

If you do a Restore in iTunes, it should be back to normal.

Maybe try a fresh install? iTunes will download iOS 4.1 from Apple's servers and load it onto your device.

Wouldn't it be amazing if someone made an app on Cydia that fixed the proximity sensor problem?

I'd pay $20 for it.

Thanks for nothing Apple....
