It was no problem for me.

By the way, it was a cold day in Cupertino on jailbreak day. I got this screen cap just after I jailbroke all my iPhones.

This is not the first time these is a safari-based jailbreak. In fact the exact same domain jailbreakme.com was used before in the old days to do a similar jailbreak. These were the times when Cydia wasn't even there.

JAILBREAK finally started downloading, then crashed, rebooted me phone and now safari has gone from me homescreen and also from within the settings section, anybody else have this or know a way back?
 
Can't wait to use this for my 3GS, but will have to wait until tonight so I can get an o2 sim so that I can activate the phone at 4.0.1 and then jailbreak, and unlock.

Ace work Comex...will donate when i've jailbroken. yipeeeeeeee

edit: can you hacktivate it on os4.0?
 
Ohhhhh man this is great news!! I've been without a JB for almost 2 months now, maybe more! I'm sooooo happy it's finally here...best JB ever.

The only thing that sucks though is once I get my iP4 back to the way I like it and install all my Cydia apps apple will then release 4.1 and then we'll be waiting again and have to set everything back up because I never set up from a back up only as a new iPhone.

What are the odds this exploit will work on 4.1? I'm assuming they aren't very good? Seeing how my device doesn't suffer from the proximity sensor problem I might just even not bother updating to it, if that's all 4.1 has to offer.

done it twice with two different iphone 4. worked fine, after you reset the safari cache. and after rebooting. then the download will appear.
 
There a lot of posts here. Some successful
jailbreaks on the iPhone 4, some disasters.

I have iPhone 4 with original software 4.0.
Have not yet upgraded to 4.1 which fixes signal
bars issues.

First, does this jailbreak actually work without
losing Facetime or MMS?

Second, should I upgrade to 4.1 prior to doing it?
