I see the base 11" returned (2/64). Amazon is now back up to 11 Apple models available for the promotion.

Just to clarify:
No monetary exchanges should happen outside of the marketplace forum. If you're new here and can't access that forum, you should just go to ebay, because you are violating the rules.

Bought a second kindle just for this. Got the code on Saturday but I have to wait until the end of the month to order the macbook. Hopefully the stock levels level out by then.

Ordered Friday night and status then was shipping at the end of August. Received a order status update today that I will receive my order on August 11th (this week). So Amazon definitely underestimates their shipping time on the conservative side. For reference, I ordered the 11" 4Gb/128Gb.

Overestimates.

I agree. The price difference between the 128 and the 256 is pretty wide.

had to shell out the extra cash though. making this my primary instead of my 2.2 15". But yeah, would never pay the retail 1599 for this.

So you decided to move from a 2011 2.2 to a MBA? Interesting.

So you decided to move from a 2011 2.2 to a MBA? Interesting.

believe me, the decision sounds stupid when i say it too.

its just no matter how much i want to keep the machine, the weight is just killing me. Going to the library with my laptop and a couple of textbooks strains my back so much. mostly on the days when my classes are spread throughout campus.

i've been trying to tell myself that the 2.2 will benefit me later in life if i ever get into editing or stuff but lets be real, in my 21 years so far i have yet to dab into that stuff so yeah.

i've gotten into the habit of upgrading every year so im trying to stick with a decision now. the constant flip flopping is unhealthy. maybe i'll switch back to a pro after this year (my last year in college) but right now portability trumps all for me.

the screen downgrade will kind of suck though. can't lie.

You know that the resolution of the 13" is the same as the 15", right?

Should go for that then over the 11", if you reconsidering that.

yep. i had the high res glossy though.

also downgrade as in going to a smaller screen.

I might have missed some posts in cleaning up this thread but do not post any more request for promo codes in this thread.

Here's some shots of my kindle and the promotion...

Well guys.....for the last month i had been teasing and bugging my friend about the kindle. its black and white screen, lack of touch screen etc. To make a long story short. he happened to buy it last week thursday or friday to be exact....Yesterday i found out that they offered 20% coupons via the kindle. So today i asked him to help me get the code and He did... What a friend!!!!!! Macbook Pro Time (base model)!!!!!!!!!!! Just so happy. thanks to this forum i found out about it... looks like i will invest in a kindle just for the fun of it... WOHOOOOOOOOOO now i have to sell my mac book...

so i have my code...$1279 for the 256gb 13.3 air...$904 for the 2010 model, 128GB 13.3 air. is the 2011 (new) model that much better that i should get that vs. saving $350+ on the older one?? Any input would be great!! Thanks!!

2011 13.3 MBA 256 = $1279
2010 13.3 MBA 128 = $904

My 11" 4/128 I ordered Friday with a 1-2 month estimate shipped out today.

Not bad! My base 13", ordered Sat, still says Aug 31-Sept 16. For me, the wait is okay (nothing I can do about it, right?).

In the meantime, I am going to enjoy reading on my new Kindle. Compared to my Kindle 2, the new Kindle is much faster at refresh, has better contrast, and is noticeably thinner and narrower. To appreciate the e-ink screen, you really should read outside. Fortunately, I have a nice deck.

Thanks, again, to the OP for bringing this great deal to this forum; not only for the MBA, but also, for the Kindle.:)
