OMG...Amazon 20% coupon on NEW Macbook Airs

Is the promo still going on? Basically, if I buy a kindle w/special offers today I can retrieve the 20% off coupon?

No, getting the 20% off code from the Kindle with Special Offers ended last Monday. If you have a code though, you can use it until Sept. 8th.

Also note that Amazon appears to have changed the list of eligible laptops and removed all Macs but a 2010 MBA model. Some people are claiming success at getting customer service reps to allow them to purchase a newer model with the discount -- but it seems to be hit or miss.

Tread carefully if you buy a code from ebay, know you are accepting a risk if the system you want isn't on the list. Go to the first page of this thread, click the link, then look at the top of the screen for the link to the "eligible laptops".
 
So just unboxed my 13/256 from Amazon and pleased to report it has the Samsung HD & Display. The i7 13 i returned to Apple had the Samsung HD but LG display. I can't say which is better but I know a lot of people are paranoid about this stuff ;)

I hope mine is the same...but I didn't even check the one that i had from best buy. :D
 
Just changed my shipping to one day. Although I guess I missed the last batch of 13/256.

I usually don't bother with one-day shipping, as I'm pretty patient, but in this case that $4 made the difference between delivery today and delivery Monday. ;)

It also means one less day for UPS/FedEx to bang it around. I always go for it on expensive items.
 
Hmmm guess I'm out of luck then. Mine still says Delivery Estimate: August 30, 2011 - September 15, 2011. Ordered on the 6th.

I ordered mine on the 7th...but I just upgraded to one day shipping for 3.99. Come on get here before I leave for Hawaii on the 26th...I don't want to be without a laptop there!!! :D
