Has anyone else had their base MBA 13" shipped yet? I changed my shipping from 2-day to 1-day, and it INCREASED my delivery estimate from 16th Sept to 20th Sept
Same thing here.. ordered mine Friday at 430pm. (August 5th) base 13", one-day shipping chosen at order time, then this morning changed from one to two day, and then back to one-day shipping.
My original estimate was August 30th-September 15th, now it is August 29th - September 20th?
Just getting nervous, everyone else is getting updates it seems except for us..
Seems the people that ordered the 13/4/256 have got theirs ahead of us too....shouldn't have skimped on $300!
I get my 11" macbook air on monday and I'm a bit worried i get the toshiba SSD.. should i get the toshiba SSD would you go through the trouble of sending it back and hoping you get a samsung SSD the second time around???
I ordered my 13/256 last Friday at 10am for shipping to California, and mine doesn't even say Shipping Soon yet. I guess Amazon doesn't always fulfill orders in the order that they were received. I wonder if they will wait until a closer warehouse gets a shipment.

You can hope that there's something wrong with it so you can have it replaced XD, but the toshiba is plenty fast as it is.

I successfully asked Amazon to allow me to apply the 20% discount coupon for my 2011 MBA 11' purchased in then end of July. I bought it for my wife in July, way before they released the promotion. She completely loves it and have played with it for a while since then and doesn't want to upgrade for an ultimate or 13" (I got an 11" ultimate for me through Apple store - too bad Amazon doesn't carry the ultimate models). Then I knew about the discount and got a KSO for the the code and was thinking of returning the MBA and order another one and wait for a month for the shipment.
I decided to give a try by calling Amazon customer services, explaining the situation. The girl who answered my call said that she needed to ask her Floor Manager as it was out of her authorities. After putting me on hold for a few minutes, she came back and said that the manager did not allow me to that, according to their policy. I think it was because Amazon outsources their customer services call center elsewhere and the people there probably don't have the authority to deal with such request.
I gave another try by sending email to Amazon customer services and said that either they apply the discount or I would return my computer and order another one. Next morning, I got emails from them with a gift card equivalent to 20% of my purchase. I could not be happier than with their flexibility.
For those who plan to return your already-purchased MBA or other Apple computers that are eligible for the promotion, DON'T. Give Amazon a call or email their customer services to get the 20% discount.

13/1.7/256/4 GB ordered on 8/6. Estimated delivery (1-day shipping) on 8/15.
How much is 1 day shipping with prime. Has anyone had their shipping status updated today for the 13/256
iTabone is correct, one-day shipping for Prime is $3.99

I usually don't bother with one-day shipping, as I'm pretty patient, but in this case that $4 made the difference between delivery today and delivery Monday.
