Which did you order? I ordered mine at 3 am on the 11th.
Do you have a shipping date, or just 'we'll email you'?
13/256/i5 no ship date yet.
I may have severely overestimated Amazon's pull to get an early shipment. I thought for sure latest I'd get mine would be end of August.
I would be absolutely shocked if it takes amamon that long to stock the base 13".
Mine, too. Ordered the 13"/256 on 8/6. Estimated delivery on 8/15, status is "shipping soon".

The CSR probably calculated backwards from the Aug 30/31 dates to figure out the Aug 28 shipments...
I just got an email that my amazon order had shipped, and I was so excited, until I remember that I had ordered some school supplies(with $15 off $30 coupon) earlier in the week. 
blower. if we ordered a day earlier we would be playing with our new airs today.

I had an Amazon message saying "order update". I jumped for joy until I read it and discovered it was for some backordered lotion. :-(
a lot of people who ordered the 13 256 i5 are giving different prices they got, i paid 1279 a lot of people are saying between 1225 and 1250 how is that?
Stayed up till 2 to see if there would be any good offers coming today. It's $5 in free mp3 credit and $25 off textbooks.

My 13/256 shipped at 7:52 last night, but I didn't get an email until 11:52 pm. Also, I had checked my shipping status well past 8 pm, and it was still saying "shipping soon", so it took a while for them to update the status. Expected arrival is 8/15.
Everything that I've received from Apple has come by Fedex, but amazon is sending the MBA by UPS. Apple provided a signature authorization form that I could post on the door for Fedex to leave the package. I wonder if ups will accept a handwritten note with my signature?

The price dropped from $1594 to $1549.99 a few days ago. So it comes out to $1240 with the 20% discount. It went back up to $1594 though.
Between the 20% off coupon not working anymore and the laptops not even being available, I had tried everything including giving up.
I mentioned it to my father how I was upset that I would be spending an ~additional 300 because I had waited too long. He asks if he could try once after my several tries. One phone call later, there is a new macbook air 13.3 ordered with the coupon included.
For those curious, his whole plan was to play dumb. He said he had a coupon that he was having problems using and to walk him through it. She did and he said it gave him the same problem. She then asked to try it and mysteriously ordered it for us.
