What model did you order?

I have attempted to chat with 3 Amazon Reps and they have all denied my code by saying they have not sent it to me. :(

That's the thing. I don't have anyone who has a kindle registered under there account.

Just got done chatting with Amazon. They said they do not know when they will get the base 13" models in stock from their supplies (apple). Sigh.... I was hoping they would have an estimate for me of when they would get some in.

See my post on the top of the page...i got oct 25 according to their internal system

I cannot wait any longer, this is killing me...no ship date yet

ordered aug 10 -- >> 13/256gb
People who ordered on Aug 8 don't have ship dates yet, so no suprise there.

Just force yourself to throw $10 in your vacation fund every time you check Amazon for ship date changes. That will disincentivise you from chronically checking, since a week at checking 4x a day will pretty much eliminate your coupon savings. :)

I check every hour :mad::mad:

In that case, I'd suggest talking to a psychologist. :) Otherwise, assuming you're awake 17 hours a day, you'll frustrate yourself 1,207 times between now and October 25 if it really takes that long! That's not healthy.

Realistically, any ship dates now are pure guesses. In my experience with backordered products at Amazon, their purchasing power means they get them filled very quickly. However, Apple is backordered on the 13" MacBooks even in its own stores, so they have to wait for the planes carrying notebooks from China to arrive. Even Amazon can't get stock that doesn't exist.

My guess is that some folks will have to wait up to two or three weeks, but likely not longer than that. If it's 3 weeks, do you really want to disappoint yourself 357 times? :) Check once a day in the morning, and one day you'll wake up to a pleasant surprise.

Unless everyone keeps constantly bugging Amazon support reps day after day, at which point they'll trigger an internal investigation on the coupon's applicability to MacBooks, and you and everyone may end up disappointed. Because since the MacBooks were never listed on the actual landing page for the offer, it wouldn't be out of the question for them to close outstanding orders, send an e-mail apology, and offer a $15 credit for the inconvenience. Nobody wants that.

(BTW: I've checked twice today myself!)

I ordered the 13/128 model. So it could be a different shipment, maybe...

lol speaking of checking amazon...

I don't check amazon for updates. However, everytime my iPhone goes off with that email sound, I quickly grab my phone hoping it's an email from amazon.

Amazon should be getting a shipment by the end of the month, if they weren't, there wouldn't be an estimated date. (13" 128)

I think Amazon or Apple is purposely trying to delay shipments. I ordered my 13/4/128 on Aug 1 and was initially given a delivery date of Aug 5. The shipment date was changed to Aug 8 and when the KSO promo came out on Aug 5, I jumped on it and had Amazon apply it to my still unshipped order. I should be at the top of the list since I ordered prior to the promo. Amazon has delayed the shipment several times and now they say I will get my computer tomorrow, but there is no way that is happening. Amazon will delay my shipment date again tomorrow. Several days ago I also needed to reconfirm my order or Amazon would have automatically cancelled it. I've never seen an option such as this and I'm glad that I was checking the order daily otherwise I might have missed it.

I bet Amazon is loosing money on this deal and Apple is probably pissed that they are selling the new MBA at such low prices. You can get these from any Apple store and many Best Buy locations have them in stock at a slight discount. Amazon is such a large retailer that I can't believe they are receiving no inventory from Apple. They seem to be just diverting supply else wear in hopes that people get fed up and switch to another computer. I had previously bought an 11/4/128 from Amazon which I never open and was planning to return for the 13. During one of my calls I asked about that order and the Amazon agent offered to apply the discount to the 11 inch. I prefer the 13 and would rather the larger screen.

Today, I received my 11" 4gb/128gb. To those who care, both my ssd and display are samsung. The display is nice. However, from coconut battery, the age of my mba is 7 mos and the load cycles are 20? Hopefully, this just a software problem. Beautiful machine.

Also, I am waiting on a 13" 4gb/128gb (yes, I bought two kindles-keeping one and gifting the other).

Fortunately, for me, my 11" shipped first. It is on my amazon store card with no interest for 24 mos. As for the 13", it is on my credit card. So, the delay is welcome. Sorry to those waiting.

My set delivery date is aug 31st to sept 20th. However, a few days ago, it was to sept 16th. Some saying theirs is sept 16th may want to check to see if it changed.
