OMG...Amazon 20% coupon on NEW Macbook Airs

I personally would not read too much into that.

I got the exact same kind of email for an import music CD ($20) that I ordered from Amazon just last month. I received that email after about 2 weeks from me placing the order & it still had not shipped yet.

Everytime you change your shipping address, the status will change to "Shipping Soon", then after a certain time, it will fall back to "Not yet shipped"

If anyone has a textbook kindle code I would also really appreciate it if anyone could send it my way. Entering college this fall and am getting ready to purchase all my course books so any type of money saver would be great :) Thanks in advance!
 
Ugh, just got my MBP 13" i7 today.. I was really excited, but now I'm kinda disappointed. I got the older keyboard, and snow leopard installed. Yes, thats what is being advertised on the Amazon page, so I can't really argue, but I was really hoping I'd have the newer keyboard (with launchpad/MC keys) and Lion preinstalled... But, I guess its not really THAT big of a deal to me. Everything else is perfect... Is it really worth it to send it back to Amazon and ask for the newer version? I mean, I doubt there's any guarantee that I'd actually get the newer keyboard anyway... I could very well end up with the same keyboard and some random defect that I'd then have to deal with. Advice?

Personally, I wouldn't return it, it's all your decision though.
 
Got my 11" 128/4 today. I ordered late last week (Wednesday or Thursday) and it arrived today!

Be patient fellas, it's worth the wait...especially if you got the 20% discount! :D

Dont open it and goto the Apple Store and let them know you want to upgrade the 13" MBP. They will issue you an Apple Gift Card and you can order it online at the Apple Store. That's what I did and I actually made money because they gave me the regular price for my 15" MBP 2.2Ghz and also included the tax to my Apple GC.

I believe when ordering through the Apple Online store, they are being shipped with OS X Lion pre-installed and with the new keyboard layout.

Wait, so I could take my 13"/i5/256GB Air from Amazon I paid 1235 for to an Apple Store, get a gift card for the 1599+tax and just pay the $100 difference to upgrade to an i7? Seems like something that would have already been shut down for abuse.

Yes... I told the Apple store rep that I received this as a gift (the seal not broken) and they gave me an Apple gift card.

Afterwards the Rep assisted me in placing an order using their computer to place the order for my new 17" MBP 2.3Ghz 256Gb SSD.

Edit: I originally used the 20% kindle for my 15" MBP and had "buyers remorse" because I wanted the 17" MBP. Today, I decided to make the trade (Upgrade) and it worked.

Humm, interesting... Though I supposed its not worth it unless you want something CTO since most other models were available on amazon.

Exactly! I didnt want the base model and I was going back and forth with the Anti-glare monitor. I decided to upgrade the processor to 2.3ghz and purchase the 256Gb SSD.
