Listen, I'm sorry you may get banned. However, to you and others in this thread who really did abuse CSreps, Amazon has records of everything. Even if you don't get banned, this time, all of your actions are on record. So, in the future, even if you have a legitimate complaint, you probably won't either get as much help or get the benefit of the doubt.

In this thread, many expressed concerns that the constant harassing of CSreps could result in Amazon not offering such nice promotions. Well, if only the abusers are punished, then that makes it better for those of us that didn't abuse the deal.

Lastly, if you do get a notice about possible banishment, I hope that you really do have a Kindle (or at least, had one on account). If not, that violation alone could be grounds for a permanent ban.
 
Usually, how long does Amazon ”Shipping soon” status usually? I've checked my order in this morning, it said "shipping soon" and my cc was already charged. But my estimate delivery date is still "aug 30 - sep 15". My shipping is one-day. Will amazon ship out next week..? curious

Do you have a SO Kindle on your account?
Any other returns?
How many times did you talk to the reps?

Sorry for so many questions. I'm really worried that I might get one too, but I do have a legitimate kindle on my account.

Usually less than 24 hours. In this case, I think the order database is not caught up (there were problems yesterday); that's why the estimated dates haven't updated yet. I expect those who woke up with "Shipping Soon" status today will have their MBAs shipped today. I'm looking forward to a fun weekend. :)

Ordered 13/128 the evening of 8/6. Status changed to shipping soon. Hoping to get it by Saturday.
 
FINALLY just got my tracking number! Should be delivered some time tomorrow. Coming from Fernley, NV.
 
What was your order date? I have been charged and updated to shipping soon but no info. I think it's a bit optimistic to think I'll have it by tomorrow but I don't want it sitting outside in 112 degrees for long!

With the amazon abuse email, let us know how it turns out. I'd call them and see what the issue is. When yet tell you apologize and say you shan't waste any more of their time. Sitting by doing nothing probably won't help your case. There are people reviewing it, not computers.

Make sure you get the right department.
 
I'm really not enjoying reading about all of these "Shipping Soon" and shipped 13" base models, heh.

I ordered mine on 8/6 at 12:30AM CST (so just 30 minutes into 8/6 -- in fact, because of the time zone difference, Amazon counts my order as August 5th), and still no signs of shipping.

No "shipping soon" message. No email from Amazon. No credit card charge or authorization. :(

Oh well, I've waited this long, what's another couple of days/weeks? :cool:

The chances are very good that you will get banned, especially if:

1. They determine that you do not have a Kindle and somehow "manipulated" the promo offer...

2. You have a history of problems, a high rate of return, or abuse of the Amazon Prime free trial period (some folks were banned for signing up for Amazon Prime repeatedly, always cancelling before the expiration of the 30 day free trial...

Most assuredly they will ban you if you return the MBA you ordered for any reason, even if it is only an exchange due to defect.

I posted many pages back in this thread about Amazon's history of banning "problematic" customers, but apparently some people did not take heed.

Base 13 is on its way! Ordered on 08/06 at 9:30 AM PST. Originally had 08/31 - 09/21 delivery estimate -- will be delivered tomorrow, 08/26. Coming from Phoenix, AZ.

I'm desperate -- I can't handle another minute on this "ancient" 2010 13" MBA C2D.... ;)
