I wouldn't get the 5.5" after suffering iPad Airs break once from zero trauma (just found it cracked after no fall or bump) and from a 4" fall (in a Smart Case).

Apple durability is becoming a joke.

if those antenna bezels are true (I doubt it though) then its going to be the first apple phone that will look better inside a case than without one.

I think they will be more subtle than what the mock design have made them appear like.

The HTC Ones lines are much better, horizontal lines are ok. the curved around corner lines are ridiculously ugly. It looks like someone patched up the phone after breaking it imo.

I'm not sure if I prefer either size yet but I could definitely use more storage. Hopefully they make the right decision and make 128 GB available on both.

We should keep in mind that those design leaks that have been all over the internet were leaked a while ago, mass production is said to begin in July (if rumors are true), so that may not have even been the final design but just one of the many test designs that I am sure Apple goes through.

OKAY!!!

I literally have been on this site for 6 months and just now made a username to only ask this one question because I'm literally dying to know lol!!

why would ANYONE with the 4.7" care about 128 when ALLLLL I seeks people taking about "I don't want a phablet, I just want a small screen I don't want an iPad to my head. "

the reason, IF, (big IF at that) the bigger phone would only have the extra room is because apple is indeed calling it a phablet and intending to market it as such.
the iPad was gracefully brought into our lives to enjoy, watch video on our lap, make quick notes on documents on the go, use in an airplane, use on a bus... etc! all of that stuff requires space!

people with the 4.7 won't be using their phone like the people with the 5.5 do. period. 5.5 people will (mostly) use this as the all In one device. I've seen countless people say I want a small phone. I have an iPad. I don't need a big phone. That's AWESOME! because you have two devices you have AT LEAST 32GB. while we only (till now) had AT MOST 64.

surely someone agrees with me on this! also, great to finally speak my mind I've been wanting to let that out forever

Ummm...I'm lost

I need 128 GB on my phone. My 64 iGB now is packed to bursting.

What I need even more than that: a deep, soul-searching re-evaluation of what I REALLY need to have stored offline on my phone 24/7/365.

(Note to Apple--the final piece of this puzzle: let me delete an app and reinstall it without losing my app data. Prime example: games are huge files! And I hate to lose my progress. Let me store only my favorite few dozen games of the moment, yet let me re-install ANY of my zillion games at will and pick up right where I left off. It's not as though saved-game files will take up that much iCloud space. This would make both iCloud and local backups SO much more useful than the current all-or-nothing-or-weird-hack approach.)
Many games domthis.

Infinity Blade II/III, Cut the Rope, Quell, Penumbear, Galaxy on Fire, JetpackJoyride Apple has provided this API, many devs use it, many still dont.

Complain to the devs.

The HTC One doesn't have as many antenna.

Major news!!!

Only the 5.5" will have a larger screen.
The called 4.7" will be larger, but the screen will be only 4"

Breaking rumor!

The major differentiator for the 4.7" and 5.5" iPhones will be that only the 5.5" will be available, in a 6" form factor!

Also, it'll print money, cure your erectile dysfunction, and 3D print out a Ferrari.

People need to calm down. All the new iPhones will be amazing best-of-breed products. Nobody truly needs 128GB of storage in a phone so the pick the screen size that's right for you and enjoy the best smartphone ever made by anyone.

I don't understand how people can need such large storage on a phone. Seriously what amount of crap that you never look at or use are you keeping on there?!

these are baseless rumors. Do you see any features the iPad Mini did not receive that the iPad Air did?

Totally agree. The only difference between the iPad mini and iPad Air is the screen size and price. Everything else spec wise is identical. This will be the same with the new iPhones if indeed they are going to release 2 sizes.

iPad mini 1 (the launch of a new screen size iPad) vs. iPad 4: different screen size, non-retina vs. retina screen, nearly completely different hardware guts.

Only the second generation iPad Mini became approx. hardware feature aligned with the bigger screened Air.

2 latest "new" iPhone models: 5c and 5s. Again, differences in hardware guts to help motivate some to pay up for the more expensive, more profitable model. Did that work? Yes, very well.

Apple has done this before… recently. It can happen this time too.

Nah. 5.5" is maybe a tad on the small side, if we're being honest here. Lots of nice 6"+ phones out there already.

What imaginary world do you live in where "lots of nice 6"+ phones out there already"?

I will get the biggest screen size and the biggest storage capacity of the next iPhone - that’s all that matters to me.

Ideally I’d like to see iPhone 6 in 3 screen sizes (4’’, 4.7’’, 5.5’’) with 3 capacities (32/64/128Gb) for all - but considering how chunky OIS modules are, I don’t see them in smaller size models.

I don't understand how people can need such large storage on a phone. Seriously what amount of crap that you never look at or use are you keeping on there?!

My music library is 45Gb - I don’t play it all frequently, but I love to have an option to access any of it on the go at any time. There’s a reason why people buy 160Gb iPods, you know…

And during my recent holidays I took 15Gb of photos and videos - it was nice to be able to keep them all on the phone until I came back home as I was abroad and connectivity was lacking.

Add to that ever increasing app sizes - especially games, but not limited to them (Pages / Numbers / Keynote / iPhoto / iMovie / GaragaBand are all enormous).

Also, with 5.5’’ screen I’m much more likely to watch TV and movies on my phone.

Basically, if you don’t need it - doesn’t mean that others don’t!

Or they could buy a Microsoft Mobile (Nokia) 1520 with 16GB and 6" screen, and slam in a MicroSD card to add that 128GB of space which most people need for music and videos.

Apple's insistence on not allowing a MicroSD card on devices is ridiculous. It made sense when SD cards were huge and required big mechanisms in the phone to hold them, but now SD cards can be tiny and inserted into a slot easily.
