You do realise that it isn't actually a "real" web browser and that it can't do the "full" internet? In fact it can render less of the "full" internet than mobile Safari, and is insecure as well.Nice interface, finally a real web browser. Can't wait to see it on a ipad.
Why? Opera has a product they want on iPhone and Touch, so they've submitted the application.
Yes, and by announcing to the world that theyve submitted the app and putting up that timer its like they are daring Apple to reject it. I own a small business (art gallery) where artists submit their work. If one of them pulled something like this theyd get the axe immediately no one is going to bully me into carrying their work. Apple should take the same stance as a message to others. After awhile (and an apology) they could resubmit in a more appropriate fashion.
I don't know. I think Opera have tried to get as much news coverage as possible pre-release so it will make Apple look bad if they reject it. I have to say, it really does look good, but I don't know if it will be able to match the convenience of Safari, seeing as it stays loaded even after leaving it. Plus, I'm never on 2G network; I want to see a comparison on 3G and WiFi. I would also like to see what it is like if the compression is turned down.

The NSA most certainly does not record everything that happens on the internet. There isn't a database in the world big enough for such a task. lol
That's like the people who think that all of our phones calls are being listened to every day. Like the NSA has 200 million employees sitting on phone tapping devices all day long. lol
I hope you are not using the unencrypted websites to speed up rendering, which means poeple couldn't use this for sensitive information such as online purchases and banking, otherwise, you have some explaining to do![]()
what for???? that makes no sense at all...
Until you actually get a clue about how things like ECHELON work, you should probably refrain from laughing at others.
If I install MacSpeech dictate on my late 2006 MBP I can get it to listen out for predefined keywords and then spring into action when it recognises one - but shhhh, don't tell the NSA, or they might figure out that they don't need to employ 200 million people to physically listen to phone conversations![]()
You should take a look at this for a good read.

Bully? Who's bullyng apple? It seems to me that they are PROMOTING their app. Would you really "axe" an artist if they promoted their artwork outside of your gallery?
Not wanting to come across as a pedant, but their HTML rendering is utterly crap - compare the full-page Times layout on both screens. And this is a best case example? I'd expect better from server-side processing...
I appreciate the will power behind it, "up against the beast" and all that... but as far as I can see it's not as big a deal as everyone's making it out to be. It's just parsing clicks, and unlike Safari it knows everything you do because of it. Privacy settings aren't going to help you with this.
