Orange UK: How to get a nano sim

Success - I called the upgrades team (even though I'm not asking for an upgrade) and asked to be put through to their Apple team. Lovely lady was v helpful; apparently they have to quote 5 working days delivery, but she said it should be with me sooner than that.

What a flippin mess - took me about 5 calls to different CS reps to explain about their Twitter feed...
 
Dialled 150, option 1,3,2,2,2 and I have one on order. Delivered by Royal Mail in 2-4 working days at no charge. Not that confident so went on live chat and the guy checked my account and confirmed it's on order. :)
 
Just called Orange twice and they said the iPhone from apple will come with a Sim and they don't have any until Fri.

I've heard that many stories from them now it's becoming boring.

Orange are hopeless .......
 
Having been pleased at finally being able to order a nano sim I just tired to order another nano sim for my wife's account and was told they don't actually have any stock and won't be sending any out. I referenced Twitter and my own order and was told in no uncertain terms that no nano sims will be going out!
 
I just called orange and asked to order a nano sim. She said she didn't think they were able to order them until Friday so I told her that they've posted on twitter that you can order them from now, so she went to speak to the upgrade team. Came back about 5 minutes later and I was able to order the nano sim.

She said she wasn't sure how long it would take to arrive, she said usually its 4 days but wasn't sure what the waiting time was like for the nano sim because it's completely new to her. Hopefully have it by Friday.
 
Yep,finally ordered a nano sim via 150. 2 - 4 working days . AT LAST.
I ask the nice lady 3 times are you sure it's a nano sim - yes sir and congratulations on your Iphone 5 do enjoy.
We'll see.

On the phone again to another advisor saying not available ?

This is ridiculous.
 
I got told they're not sending them out yet and he would put the order though Friday and call me back
 
Guys,

I was on the phone just a minute ago to a guy on 150 saying they can't order any until Friday, when he got an internal email through saying they can now order nano sims.

Ordered mine and is being sent out 3-4 days delivery and may get here for Friday.

Keep trying. If you go through the options as if your phone is broken - that worked for me.

Worryingly though she said it'd be delivered between 8.30 and 1pm (or something like that). I asked her if that meant it was coming recorded delivery and she said "someone would need to be there" which in my case is pretty unlikely. Surely not?

Thanks! Got the 'We can't order before 21st' BS THREE times before I saw your post and finally got through to a very helpful guy.
 
Just called the CS dept - spoke to an advisor who had just come off his break and this was brand new information. He had declined over 25 people till now for the new SIM.

Needless to say, SIM ordered and will be delivered 2-4 working days.

Thats why these forums are great......
 
Just got my nano sim, first attempt. The guy was unusually for Orange, very helpful. Knew exactly what I meant. Said they had literally just been briefed but told me it would take 5 days to arrive, couldn't guarantee dispatch today.

I was told First Class post but given Orange's current record for communication that could mean anything!
