Just spoken to a helpful person on the Orange iPhone team. He said as of 11:30 this morning, Nano SIMS can be ordered :) Think they are still briefing CS teams but ask to be transferred to iPhone team and they were very helpful :)

Just spoke to someone else who had no idea why the previous person had put the order on hold and processed it straight away.

Just called 150
selected option1
option 4
option 2
then pressed 1 to speak to operator
entered incorrect password
held for operator
held for a while longer
held for a bit longer
Operator finally answers and explains they have no nano sims available until the iphone5 is released!!!

AAaaaarrrrggghhhh!!!!

Follow the sequence someone posted above, choosing the number options they posted and I'm sure you will get somewhere!

Thats not true. Ask to be put through to the iPhone team. The guy told me mine would be with me by Friday. You have to call Orange once you receive the sim to activate it.

Much the same experience as everyone else. Took me a while to persuade the person to check the system, but they eventually did and it's all ordered.

Although it took a while, they were very helpful in the end.

Ask the advisor to check the Guru or ask to speak to the manager. State on Twitter and Orange Facebook pages it showing its available and many people are ordering

I used 1,3,2,2,2

Just done that ^^^^.

Got told nano sims not being released until launch day!!

Tried again...

Operator was unsure, told me the demand for anything to do with the iphone5 was excessive to say the least. Went to speak to colleague, then said "Yep, we will send that straight out to you". Told me when I get the iphone5 and the nano sim to ring 0800 0790027 or 988 from mobile to get my number transferred over.

Success:)

Many thanks all:)

ORANGE have just tweeted this! :

Great news - existing Orange customers can now order their iPhone 5 nano SIMs from customer services on 150

Had a twitter message from tmobile confirming they can't be ordered until Friday with limited stock in store and it will be £10.21 for a replacement. CS said they hadn't got any info yet but he assumes it will be the same as any other sim and you will be charged. Ffs. This is stupid!

I have just ordered my Nano Sim through this method!

Dialled 150, option 1,3,2,2,2

All ordered and should be with me by the weekend :D

Confirmed success here all ordered up 2-4 days (Stock dependent) looks like the info has filtered through to CS and they know what to do now :)

Just called orange and got m nano sim. The info was announced not even 30 mins ago, so not all the agents know yet, tell them to speak to the iPhone team to verify and your quids in... Also the sim was free! Wooo!

Just an update to the group. Dialed 150 and chose 1,2,4.

Spoke to an Advisor, who put me through to the "technical" department. Once through the chap posted out the sim without any fuss at all. He even congratulated me on my purchase. Which was nice of him!

Just called 150, and pressed options to get through to upgrade team. Asked immediately to speak to someone in iPhone team. Transferred within 2 mins. Ordered sim with no issues, and told it should be with me by Friday.

It seems to get this sorted you MUST ask to speak to someone in the iPhone team. I used to work in a call centre and information was only briefed out once a day and this was usually just after dinner break. As the different teams all have different breaks, it's going to be pot luck I'd you just speak to the first person you get through to on weather they've been briefed or not. The iPhone team WILL have the most up to date info as that's why they're there.

Phoned them at 14:30 using 1-3-2-2-2

Spoke to a woman who's ordered and it will be sent to me as soon as its in stock on the 21st

Followed the 1-3-2-2-2 route.

Card ordered and with me in 4 working days, along with advise on not registering it until the iphone 5 is in hand (for the obvious reasons)...

Can't fault that (if it actually happens).

I must say once through to the iPhone team it was very easy to (finally) order the Nano SIM and the CS agent seemed very helpful. I am on an Orange iPhone SIM only contract. I want 4G when it comes out but this means switching to the new 'EE' network. I quizzed the CS agent if he thought SIM Only would be available on 'EE'. He said that he thought that 'EE' would initially be available only with handset packages only but expected SIM Only to be available 4-8 weeks after initial launch. I guess that's fairly good news if true as I was concerned SIM Only customers wouldn't be able to move across to 'EE' to take advantage of 4G.

Well I only joined this forum due to this orange nano sim disaster. But have finally got one ordered after 4 attempts.

So thanks for all the info guys, think I'll stick around.

Just hope I'm in the que for a 5 early enough on Friday now.

I was going to switch to either orange, t mobile or ee but all this nano sim stuff has really put me off.

Seeing this post got me all excited so I phoned Orange straight away.

HOWEVER! Whilst the very helpful girl ordered me a nano sim (and she knew exactly what it was and knew about the iPhone 5), she did day that it could take between 4-14 days!

When I mentioned that people on here were told they were getting it by the weekend she said "no that's not right as we are covering all our pre orders first so its impossible to say exactly when you will receive it"

So...there you go....hope she is wrong but she actually sounded pretty clued up
