What's the betting the black strap ships before all the watches.
Honestly don't care which one I wind up with but if they all ship on the same day it will be the SS leather loop.
Others have said it but I agree they should have just sold the watch on its own in the three different versions and given you a store credit towards a strap. Eg every watch could have come unbanded with a voucher to cover the full price of the basic sport band or put towards any other band of your choice. End the colour lottery

I think the over estimated the popularity of the white sports model/band. A few of the Apple executives have been sported wearing the white band and Pharell Williams had the white band. I think they thought it would be more popular hence making more of that model. They seem to have completely miss calculated the popularity of the black band.
Personally I can't understand what all the fuss is with the black band/SG watches. Black is so boring
Edit: Maybe they were basing it on the popularity of white iPhones vs black ?

I'm in a queue outside Dover street market. They will let us in providing a spare time slot appears. The stock situation is a little vague. It appears they have 42 sport versions with a white band. Then more choice for the 38.
Question. Will a watch band ordered separately fit on the sport version?

I spoke to Apple yesterday who told me I should have my watch on my wrist Monday/Tuesday....how much of that I believe I dont know?
Apple Store stock levels
The June delivery dates on the store then are beyond my comprehension! Why are they saying June when all their automated system know exactly what the stock levels are?!?!

Interesting, when I spoke yesterday they said they could not guarantee next week - but definitely inside the two weeks given.
She also mentioned that they do ship over weekends but deliveries will not take place.

I think the stock constraint is more to do with the watch casing than the colour of the bands/straps. But yes, more people have been seen with the silver aluminium model than the space grey. As I said earlier, there are 4 colour band/strap options for the silver aluminium sports model plus each have 2 casing size options compared to just 2 casing size options for the space grey model. This is probably why they made more silver sport models.

All bands are interchangeable, providing that they are for the right size watch e.g 38mm strap for 38mm watch.

Makes me worried when i read this thread... I ordered my 42mm SG BSB on the 19th April!! Don't think ill be getting it for quite some time...!!
I dont understand why Apple would under produce them? Its the only basic model thats black and without sounding sexist i would anticipate that the majority of men would want that one. Who pre-orders new Apple products? I would suggest more men than women. Therefore it was always so clear that the 42mm SG was going to be the biggest seller by miles. Bit obvious really... Unless there's been some sort of issue with production of that model.
Am i the only male who doesn't really like these bright colours that Apple seem to force on us? Was the same with the 5C phone.
On a side note... If i decide i like the watch I'm thinking of buying a different band. When i had my try on appointment i thought the leather loop was lovely. SG 42mm with blue leather loop? Opinions?

Exactly! I stand by my thought that they should've offered White and Space Grey Sport watches - with coloured bands separately. Makes sense to me.
As for that combination, I'm not sure. Maybe once you get your watch go into an Apple Store and hold it next to the bands?
Maybe black leather loop... If you haven't had a try on appointment i would suggest trying that strap. Its way more comfortable than the milanese loop but just as adjustable.
I tried that combination and it was my favourite (beyond the SG watch and the band it comes with). The blue really works well with the watch.
Well i would have preferred the SS watch and that loop... Unfortunately the Mrs barely let me order the sport model!! So going to have to go with that for now...!
