There is no contract until Apple have shipped your item, as is the case with the vast majority of online stores.

The difference is the company give a specific date. If it states like Amazon "estimated" delivery then it is different. The e-mail spelt that out. Lawyer friend stated that outside this window is breach and the EOD confirmed that.

Well I just cancelled the SG 42mm sport I ordered on the 22nd for a blue 42 sport today, apparently i can expect it to come pretty quick from reading other threads. (then I can swap the bands via Apple)

Are we seeing the same thing in the UK? The blue band watches shipping quicker?

For anyone interested, I've had a SS BSB on order and processing since the 11th or the 12th with a 4-6 week delivery timeframe.

I've gone ahead and ordered the SS WSB now just to see if it moves any quicker. Whichever prepares for dispatch first, I'll cancel the other. If both ship, I'll send one back. Like the look of both the black and the white anyway so it's win-win really.

Should give a good idea whether WSBs are moving quicker than black anyway.

Dover Street Market

Just spoke to Thomas at DSM, after asking about stock etc he asked for my details and called me back within 5 minutes. He said that they only have 42 & 38 watches and 38 Milanese loop in stock but are getting a fresh delivery tomorrow. All appointments are booked up until Tuesday, but I could queue in case of any cancellations/no shows etc. He is calling me back tomorrow with a stock update.

Anybody ordered a Band? I ordered a White Sport band few hours after my watch, on the 10th of April, still hasn't budged on Processing, has anybody has any movement on bands?

Hopefully if they're receiving more stock tomorrow, that means there will also be more stock hitting the UK supply chain in general.

Can't help but a little jaded that Apple have an entire retail chain based nationally that people can travel to but choose to only offer regular deliveries to a single store in London. I assume Apple must have shares in the chain as it can only have given them a boost in sales.

I wasn't going to go down the  watch route at all. Or maybe wait until 2nd gen.

After following this thread and seeing pictures i got all sucked up in the hype. Today i ordered  sport with WSB with a June delivery.

I'm so very very weak!

Thanks for the update. I'm considering going down there tomorrow morning and queuing in case of a no-show.

Will let you all know about the stock update when he calls. He said should be just after 11am.

Am also a bit p''d off as I live in Kent and now you can't even book an appointment over the phone, you have to go and queue to just make an appointment for later in the week.

Wtf!!??

My SG Sport was ordered at 0816 and is still processing!

Have received both of my orders but my wife and son now both want one, hence the call to DSM

Did he say which 42 they have?

Somewhat off topic, but confusing.

I missed my watch delivery on Friday, I cba waiting for redelivery, so set it to pick up from depot tomorrow morning. Checked my bank balance today and my balance is back to pre-watch levels. Do you think Apple's payment hold just slipped off and they won't re-charge until the watch is picked up/classed as delivered?

My charge has also dropped off and my watch has been delivered. I expect Apple to re-charge for it next week.

Similar thing happened to me once with an iMac. That was a fun couple of days of resisting spending a couple of grand again :D

Not got my space grey watch on launch day... still processing

so seeing what other smart watches I can get instead...

Looks like another round of US orders are being charged and prepped. I think Apple has forgotten the UK exists?

Unfortunately the US always comes first and they get put above everywhere else. At this point, we can only hope orders came in to the UK over the weekend ready to be dispatched early this week.

Just upsets me that there are orders after xx:05:00 being prepared for shipment over there! (regardless of the different timezone) I suppose the whole world isn't in a first come first served system. :(
