well, Apple canceled one of my orders, but fortunately left the other in tact and is currently prepared for shipment.

The email goes like this....
Dear Customer,

We were unable to complete the authorization process for your iPhone
order. As a result, we had to cancel your iPhone order. To complete the
purchase of your iPhone, please visit an Apple Retail Store or an AT&T
company-owned retail store.

@promod
My shipment just went to prepared for shipment. That's a pretty good sign I believe. Since you were in the same boat--I thought I'd let you know.
I don't plan to cancel the ATT order until I see it has shipped which will hopefully be tomorrow night.

Awesome. I just checked my fiance's order (she's in the same situation as you and I), and her phone has gone to prepared for shipment. Mine is still at not yet shipped, but this definitely is a good sign.

FYI, i had a duplicate order through Apple and AT&T. As of this morning, I have received tracking orders for both my Apple and AT&T orders.

Dupe orders with Apple and AT&T, as of now, have a tracking number for Apple's order, but AT&T order still shows as in progress. No cancellations.....yet.

Wow, you're the first one of us to get that far. Can you post screenshots?

My story is a little similar. On the afternoon of the 15th, I finally got thru using the new Store app, and since the only option was for reservation, I went thru with that. Then the app seemed to take me back a few screens, like it didn't go thru. So I tried again on my imac, this time I had the option to deliver! GO!

One down. Now for my wife's. I did it from the imac again, with her itunes account, but this time the only option was reserve again. So that's what I did, so I'll be getting up early Thursday.

Got the delivery order confirmation, and the reserve confirmation.

And then my wife got a reserve confirmation! 3 now!

So I've got one in HK now according to FedEx and two waiting for me at the Apple Store. Guess I'll just be picking up only one, I thought about ebaying the extra but didn't want to deal with the price magically increasing, etc..

Here is my experience for those in the same boat:

I attempted to order from ATT on pre-order day. The first attempt failed with a please try again message. I tried again a few hours later, same message.

I attempted a third time with Apple and succeeded in getting two orders in (one for each eligible family plan line.) I received both confirmations that night.

Wednesday night I got an email from ATT that one order succeeded with them but was canceled since it was a duplicate. The next morning I got a confirmation of a second order from ATT. I now had 2 confirmed orders from Apple, and one for both lines with ATT.

Realizing this would not be good...I canceled the ATT order right away and immediately had them put in an urgent case to revert my eligibility status before Apple re-checked pre-shipment.

Sunday I decided to check my order status since most people were getting ship notifications. Not yet shipped... aw man!

I called Apple to double check and guess what? ATT was too slow to revert my status (actually had not done so yet on Sunday) and Apple now shows the dreaded "carrier rejected" note on my orders. I explained the situation to Apple and gave them the urgent case number. I then called ATT and they were able to revert my eligibility status Sunday night, however Apple still has my orders "in review" and not yet shipped.

The only good news? They haven't been canceled yet either.

I am left wondering when they will arrive if they do in fact do ship without being canceled.

@pogiboi

Thanks for the screens. So these two orders were for the same phone number, one through ATT and one through Apple? Which did you actually order first?

Yes they were both for the same phone number. I ordered first through ATT premiere at 4:30AM CST then Apple at 9:55PM CST.

Thanks. As it turns out, my girlfriend and I just got our CSS emails from ATT. I'm thinking that the Apple orders are actually going to go through because on her CSS, it has the unlimited data plan. I left unlimited for her when I ordered through Apple because I forgot to change it. I put her at 200 on the ATT order since that was the first one and I was still in my right mind.

I had two orders through Apple. Both were on the same line. One shipped yesterday and one is "not yet shipped". It hasn't canceled as of now. I wonder if it will still ship. It was an duplicate as I thought the first order didn't process. I do have two other lines that are eligible. Could they apply the second phone to one of those and send it anyway?

My ATT order has a trackign #
Apple still not yet shipped--like I said carrier hold.

the order column just says ordered btw--not shipped. shipped is still at zero even tho it has a tracking #.

Looks like we're in the same boat yet again. Exact same status here.

Let's keep each other posted since we're obviously in the very same situation.

we are like iphone order buddies.

Yeah, the last remaining holdouts that didn't cancel one of our orders. I'm glad I didn't cancel one, but upset at myself for caving and ordering from ATT. I would have much rather kept my Apple orders and never even gone to the ATT site.

If we had cancelled the ATT one, we'd been on hold right now with ATT.

I just wanted to order from apple too but could not get in for 4 hours so hit ATT and got in right away.

I wonder how long it takes to go to shipped once you get tracking. Once we can see the fedex tracking info, we are in the clear

I am now shipped, but still no FedEx tracking info. One step closer though!

Add me to the holdout club, I didn't cancel either of my dupe orders.

Just got a CSS email from AT&T and now have tracking information. So that's two inbound iPhone 4's, one each from Apple and AT&T, on the same line. Apple charged me the subsidized pricing, AT&T hasn't yet charged me.

I wonder what would happen if I tried to activate both phones?

I am going to take a wild guess--is one of your orders premier?

I wonder the same thing. Keep me posted what you end up doing. At this point, I have a pretty strong feeling that my Apple order will indeed ship eventually. That's at least two reports of people getting one phone from Apple and one from ATT on the same line.
