OSX League - 2011 MR NFL Fantasy Football

Of course, nobunaga209 is in the iOS League – it's my Week 1 opponent miles01110 who has Manning (Peyton) here in the OSX. Unfortunately though he's been paying attention and has the stricken quarterback on his bench rather than in his first team. Bah!

So does mine...i'm down 20 with only McFadden going against the Pats D tonight. At least it gives me even more reasons to root against the Pats.

My receivers all had good weeks, but I got almost nothing from my #1 Holdout, Chris Johnson. And I also got burned by the fact that the Texans were up 34-0 at the half...Schaub and the offense did nothing in the second half of that game.

Your team doesn't stink Moyank, in fact you were the 3rd highest scoring team for week 1. Unfortunately, it just so happens that you played the highest scoring team of the week.

Week 1 Results

With last night's doubleheader we've wrapped up week 1.

The high scoring team of the week is me (yeah!) with solid outings from Ray Rice (30 points), Reggie Wayne (23 points), and Greg Jennings (21 points).

The "Stud of the Week" is Tom Brady on the Multiple Scoregasms (rdowns) who single handedly scored 47 points on 517 passing yards and four TD's with one INT.

On the League site you will notice I've set up some Trophies that can be earned either on a weekly or a seasonal basis. You will earn either positive or negative points each week based on the trophies that you win and those point totals will be tracked throughout the season. It's just another way to have some fun with our league.

Thanks Jaffa. Hopefully your boys can do what mine couldn't.

And if they can't...there's plenty of room in the endzone for a quick bury job. ;)
 
As a Jet fan, I just find it wrong that Brady is my fantasy QB (last year too). While he saved my butt this week, I just can't root for him.

I'm looking forward to next week. I quite enjoy playing against our friends across the pond. Jaffa has a good team so we'll see what happens. While smack talking I was trying to be somewhat encouraging as well. I've been where you are, there's nothing worse than putting up a score that would beat almost everyone else in the league, except your opponent. It just sucks.

There are a lot of awards and plaudits are being handed out, but I'd like to say a word if I may about my vanquished opponent this week, miles01110.

I know folk like to 'trash talk' and all that, but I'm not the sort to make cheap shots at a defeated rival's expense. So instead – as a sporting gesture of respect – post-match I'd like to present a Meffs shirt to miles01110, as per soccerball custom.

As such, I've instructed Barry the Kit Man make up a special jersey as a memento for my opponent.
