Our MBP is stranded in ShangHai thread [UK/Eu]

I ordered a new macbook pro from my local apple premium reseller, they said they hadn't got any in stock because they are all stuck in Shanghai.

Does anyone know when places like this will be recieving them because i have no way of knowing when they arrive until the shop calls me. Thanks

Same situation as you... (changes to "Prearing to give to a final ... " last night, but changed back today.

Apple are saying it should merge today, tomorrow, or tuesday, with delivery Tuesday or Wednesday..
 
Alright, something finally happened!

"Current Delivery Status Delivery scheduled by final carrier, see estimated delivery date 30 Apr 2010"

Assigned Carrier now shows "NL DISTRIBUTION CENTER" and I seem to have received a tracking number (same as the delivery reference number above). I assume TNT handles merged shipments, but the tracking number doesn't work yet. Hopefully they'll get it out of there soon :D

You're right ! (well, wrong actually). What Apple actually says is:

... well I did say in my post 'something like' which was my get out clause. ;)

If we read too much in all our T&Cs in everything we had, I'm sure there'd be quite alot of people running around in paranoia. As I suggested, their T&Cs looks like something just to cover themselves when there are delays. eg volcanic ash clouds, unexpected demand, military coups or whatever.

Hopefully you'll be getting your tracking number soon and apologies if I gave you a fright by mentioning the T&Cs.:D

I also finally got my carrier assigned as TNT and my tracking number - what a huge relief! Apple also changed the ETA and current status to:

- Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change): 04 May 2010 (Subject to change).
- Current Delivery Status: Delivery scheduled by final carrier, see estimated delivery date.

The TNT website still hasn't much info on the order - just that it is in "Arnhem Hub" with status "Shipment In Transit" - but I presume things will get moving quite quickly from now on.

According to the trackthepack app I'm being assigned DHL as carrier.
I'm still on "merge in NL" with estimated delivery on May 10

Wow, you got all that? My ETA is still May 10 (>_<) and TNT is not listed as my carrier yet. However, I assume we're on the same flight/truck whatever they're using to get to Denmark :p Hooray!

Yeah, we probably are. I'm hoping for an email with a tracking number today. I'm in Århus btw.

Well then, it seems like I'm the only københavner in this thread - but it's all good :) It's really nice to see that we're all slowly but steadily moving forwards and aren't still stuck with the same semi-arrogant lack of info which has been imposed on us since the day of the orders.

Let's keep each other and the thread updated from time to time as more and more info comes along - if I'm not totally mistaken, we're probably some of the first to get our "Merge in transit"-orders here in mainland Europe, so it will be interesting to see how the first of May holidays affect the progress of delivery over the weekend.

By the way: I didn't get an email confirming that my tracking number and carrier have been assigned - I just randomly checked, and there they were, so I'm not sure if they even send out a notice, even though they absolutely should!
 
Ah okay, but you were already assigned TNT as your carrier and receive a tracking number? Now I'm jealous :p

But yeah, hopefully they should arrive Monday, since Monday isn't a holiday in Denmark. But who knows - TNT (or whoever delivers them) probably takes the day off anyway.

Yeah, but I'm sure they'll update yours very shortly - if my order is on its final steps to Denmark, then surely yours is too, even though they're going different places! Maybe I'm particularly lucky since I live in Copenhagen, thereby making the shipment to Denmark by plane quite plausible, and these have a tendency to be assigned tracking info quickly - but I'm just guessing, really.
 
ALRIGHT, I finally got a tracking number :D TNT delivers it, as expected. Delivery date pushed from May 10th to May 4th :D Tuesday, here we come!

However, when I entered my tracking number on TNTs website, I was shown the previous shipment using this tracking number - apparently to someone named Paul in Sydney. Pretty weird.

Nothing on my status page yet though, but I'm just THANKFUL for finally having a tracking number!
 
Waiting is finally over....

Just opened the box and doing a fresh install. For those who are worried about the HR glossy, it's gorgeous, nothing is too small at all.
 
can anyone who ordered last week around 22-24th give me their eta?

i ordered the mid 2.53ghz/hires glossy/7200rpm drive - plus there was some stupid dvi/vga accessories - but i ordered it through work and i have no tracking etc

driving me crazy not having an eta!

don't think they deliver on Saturdays. Tuesday at the earliest now. :(

I reckon you should be getting some sort of update (over the weekend hopefully) as there was over a tonne of stuff that arrived into the UK yesterday and I reckon our MBPs were on it. We shall see.

Me2! Apple says it will arrive on the 4th by TNT. And according to TNT it's still in Arnhem.

same here. But no carrier info until now. the tracking number is equal to apples delivery reference number. So it's not a valid ups or tnt number.

I bet on Tuesday for delivery as a friend received his last tuesday and he got shipment infos usually a week earlier then me. (Altough i orderer before him on 04/13/10 :( )
