when i found it it was above budapest.
also later it was gone but with the info it gave me when i clicked it i guess it will find its way to cologne. the site seems not so solid with more traffic.

maybe you can check these numbers somewhere:

ICAO Hex Code : A26F98
Reg Code : N256UP

i dont really know much about that flight stuff so no idea what it even means. i hope it was no test flight and it actually had cargo in it.

i dont wanna get anyones hopes up but checking the radarvirtuel website i found one ups plane

Flight Number : UPS9
Company : United Parcel Service (UPS)
ICAO Hex Code : A26F98
Reg Code : N256UP
Model : McDonnell Douglas - MD-11F
Departure : PVG - Shanghai, Pu Dong - China
Arrival : CGN - Koeln/Bonn - Germany
I can't find that plane using the filter

I think it crashed :eek::eek::p

No, from what I understand is that site gets its info realtime from some radars. It appears not all area's are well covered however, planes appear and disappear form the map regularly

The site works by picking up the planes transponder. If it is out of range or a weak signal it will occasionally "disappear". Did the flight path look as if it was going in the right direction, as the departure and arrival info on that site is all messed up because it is based on what the plane SHOULD be doing at that time, not what it is actually doing.

We ordered two 15" MBP with high res screens on the 14th. They still haven't shipped from the factory according to the Apple order status site... I would guess that they at least had sent them to the shipping company at this time.

From Norway btw.

it was heading to cologne. and yeah i also think that they only show up when they are near some radar and stuff. thats also why you hardly see any planes over the atlantic

I managed to get a quick glance at the plane, too. Last time i saw it, it was near Vienna and flying to the north.

At least that's comforting! Now the question is, when UPS will update, if our macs were actually on that plane?

If yes, those are pretty good news

Man, I went to bed last night with a fresh "export scan" hoping that my CTO would be on the next plane, and woke up to find "natural disaster". What a bummer! Must be the latest plume of ash that has made everyone panic during the night.

extra stop vienna!

Hmm.. north is not quite the right direction from Vienna. Maybe made an extra stop in there, or was it already past Vienna?
Ah well, we'll see:rolleyes:

I am living in vienna. a extra stop would be fine with me! But i guess the plane's heading to cologne first. Do you guys really think that our MBPs are on that plane?

My UPS-Status is still: EXCEPTION!

Fellow UK people; IIRC, CTOs go to Dublin before being shipped to England etc. So we'll probably be the last to get them.

sooo..

based on everyone thats ordered at 13" - how long does it take to go from "Not Yet Shipped" to "Shipped" on a CTO?

around 12-24h but then you'll get stuck in Shanghai as everybody here. So don't get too excited :)

I ordered my on the 13th right the store got up and mine is still not shipped from Shanghai and its stock 13" - NOT CTO... So who knows, a year? Maybe two?

I would say 3-5 days. I ordered 13th. Mine shipped 17th.

EDIT: Maybe not.. :) See above
