At least you got something. I did not get anything so far: no customs notice, no natural disaster, nothing.

I purchases ours after the release (Apple Store Germany) via credit card and this is what ups gives me so far:

Our machines might be all on the same pallet.

Seems to be so. I ordered my 13" base model from the swedish apple store the same day the that the refresh took place.

I'm in the UK and ordered a CTO (hi-res, upgraded hdd and upgraded RAM) on April 15 which has an estimated delivery of 29-30 April. The apple order status states 'Prepared for shipment'

I got curious and called Apple to find out if it was gonna get stuck in China. Spoke to a very helpful guy (Brit living in Texas!) who said the laptop was in Leicestershire! I am very surprised. Anyway, he gave me his email address and said I can email him if I want an update at anytime.

Only thing that concerns me is that originally I accidentally ordered a separate AppleCare pack so my Shipping Method ended up showing as 'Merge in Transit GB'. I called Apple right after placing my order and they took off the extra AppleCare so in theory 'Merge in Transit' should no longer be required. So I'm hoping my order isn't waiting to pointlessly go from Leicestershire to the Netherlands before coming to mine.

So I called the Apple Store helpline again and this time they told me the previous guy was mistaken and it is actually in Shanghai. Grrr..

My order is showing 'Not Yet Shipped'... I assume I can cancel now as my card will not have been charged? My order is for 15" i7 with high res glossy and HDD @ 7200.

I am thinking it would better to cancel and try to find almost the same machine at Apple stores (London UK area). I know the HDD will be regular speed but are the high res not being sold at stores? Any thoughts? I don't want to be waiting for a long time while the shipping situation is ongoing.

Just go to check the stores, if they have one with high res screen, ask the guy to cancel your order and get it.
