I live in Sweden and mine was sent from Netherlands according to UPS tracking system. Was mine built there (i doubt that)? Because otherwise it had to be flown from Changhai somehow but all your MBP's are still stuck in Changhai.

Really frustating. I also ordered a stock MBP 13" (no other items ordered), I live in the Netherlands and somehow my order has to be shipped from China.

Anyways, have fun with yours!

Thanks but its not here yet ;)

Mine has also been shipped from china because it was built there last week, so the strange part is why all your MBP's are stuck in Changhai but mine got transferred to the Apple facility in NL.

Good news. Sorta

Hey guys.. Good news, all airports and airspace have opened in Denmark until 2 am. Which could indicate that Germany are to follow that.

If you ordered multiple items then they are merged in NL.

but its was built in Changhai and that last week (W.15), i know that because i just checked the serial number (I got the serial number of my MBP due to purchasing AppleCare Protection Plan). So it was transported last week from the factory in Changhai to The Netherlands... I ordered mine on 13th.

Model: - MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2010)
Codename: - ?
Build Country: - Your Mac was built in Changhai, China.
Build Year: - Your Mac was built in 2010.
Build Week - Your Mac was built in week 15 of that year (April).
Production Nr.: - Your Mac was number 252 to be built that week.
All the macs are built in China. Yours is not a CTO hence shipped to Apple storage facility in Europe much earlier (probably even before the release). Our Macs are shipped individually only when someone orders them.

It isn't just CTO! There are many people, including me who have stock MBPs stuck in China as well.

Exactly the same here, stock 2.4ghz 13" MBP nothing added whatsoever, still shipped from China - with no updates this morning as you have probably already seen from my signature :(

ups_europe on Twitter sent me this answer to my question about Cologne:
"Morning! The situation is ever-changing. Please contact your local customer service in case of questions: 08457-877-877 UK"

Fingers crossed, but we have heard so many different stories from different UPS staff that I will believe it when I see it!

Rang two of those numbers and simply told me to ring up the call centre. So rang the call centre. What a surprise, it is still sat at the airport in China, they will get another scan once it has left China. This is annoying to say the least. It should be another few days. :-(

They seriously don't know their arse from their elbow!

I am in the same boat (warehouse?) as all of you.
15", i7, bto, ordered on the day of release and been waiting with customs papers in Cologne. I live in Amsterdam.

Watching the unboxing vids of people with their shiny new MBPs make me cry a little on the inside. Come on UPS!

Yeah I guess the hotline just sees what we see and they conclude that the shipment is still in China.

Yeah, it also seems that UPS don't have any rush to get these to us because they have already got out of their SLA because of "the volcano". They are probably more concerned about getting new shipments through now.

They have to ship them today though right? I mean their backlog must be enormous by now. I can see why they would ship some of their newer packages first, but now that the airports are open and seem to be staying open for quite some time, they better move! I hope they have a whole fleet standing by in Shanghai just ready to go - judging by the size of this thread half of the backlog they have in Shanghai is Apple products :D

I like your thinking although I absolutely despise what you're saying.
This could actually be 100% accurate if UPS is indeed pure evil itself. They could very well deliver new orders immediately and tell everyone *cough*press*cough* "SEE, WE'RE BACK TO NORMAL!!11 NO EYJAEYJASMTHVOLCANO PROBLEMS ANYMORE!"
Those who waied may very well wait even longer...

Please tell me life is a fairytale and UPS are the good guys, right? :)

This "Waiting for Arrandale" business gets more excruciating in each stage.

I almost miss the good old days when we would speculate about them coming out. At least everybody was on the same page back then...
Now. It's there somewhere and it's ours, but we can't get to it.
