Thanks v.much...

That confirms it then, we ARE expecting another "departure scan" before it leaves China :(

This is rather depressing .... If all you people who ordered on the 13th haven't received your MBP's yet ... What chance do I have... I ordered on the 17th....

Hey,

Has anyone got the same problem as me, I have no tracking information. I ordered a Custom built 17" i7 MacBook Pro. I've been told it's shipped and merged?

No other things though, so is this a problem?

I have no information too, mine is due to be shipped and merged aswell. Was shipped on the 17th April, but no news since then. I am waiting for a printer too, so I am guessing that is the reason for the delay. Have tried putting in all the codes they gave me, but supposedly not until the order is merged will I get a proper tracking code, it really irritates me as would have loved to use the macbook this week.

ups flights resume today!

dunno if you guys saw this already:
http://www.ups.com/content/gb/en/about/news/service_updates/20100415_iceland_volcano.html

Due to the airspace restrictions across Europe being lifted, we are pleased to announce that we are able to resume operations at our main European air hub in Cologne, Germany.

Assuming these conditions remain the same, tonight we expect to resume our full flight schedule to, from and within Europe.

During the day today we are already operating 11 inter-continental flights: six bound for the Americas, three bound for Asia and two inbound from the Americas.

im in the same boat as you guys - ordered on the 15th!

im starting to feel pissed

i ordered a mbp 15" i7 hi-res on Apr 15, 2010 at 11:19 PM GMT (almost friday 16) saying 1-4 bussiness day delivery and still is in "not yet shipped" state. is this normal ?....

Have you been reading the news recently ?
It is "normal" because the shipping conditions are not "normal".

Yep, I'm in the same situation except I ordered mine at 6pm. On the US order status page mine says 'Prepared for shipment' while the UK page says the same 'Not yet shipped' as yours.

I can relate to the frustration but honestly, Apple shipping these things from China has never been a pretty process. It is quite fast if you consider the number of continents your order crosses but when something goes wrong then the delays are awful. In any case, we can't really blame Apple or the shipping company for the delay but we can for the lack of adequate communication and the fact that really these things could be customised somewhere in Europe in the first place.

Yes i have read this thread, but im not complaining about my mbp hasnt been shipped, im complaining that my mbp hasnt been manufactured, thats what i cant understand, almost a week gone with the same state, just a prepared por shipment would be nice....... i dont think the volcano and delivery problems make the fabric run slower, right?

jaredm thanks for answering.... my status is still "not yet shipped" in Apple Store US and Apple Store Spain.

If there is some work done in Europe then the price of your dear MBP will be higher and you would probably compain in another thread about that price.

Don't you realise that there were really some extraordinary condistions which just delayed your delivery a bit ? There is not all the time someone to blame.

I have a feeling that the Apple warehouse in Shanghai is filled with the MBPs which are still stucked there, undelivered yet unfortunately...

As a guess, if the delivery company was not accepting orders, and Apple have run out of space to store completed packages, then they aren't going to build and package until they can ship them.

Don't worry, you're not alone. I ordered 4:30 PM GMT on Thursday the 15th and my order is also listed as "Not yet shipped". Apple Support told me it was scheduled to be shipped on Monday the 19th, but because of the vulcanic activity, it wasn't. Hopefully something will happen soon as the airspace is open again - I'm DYING to have my MacBook Pro shipped!

EDIT: Oh wait, I just checked the US order-site and mine is listed as "Prepared to ship" there aswell, however still "not yet shipped" on the UK site. Weird.
