Our MBP is stranded in ShangHai thread [UK/Eu]

Call Apple, i did it yesterday because have passed 5 business days without "prepared for shipment" (apple said 1-4 business days for shipping) and the person who i spoked said i was right and he contact "administration" to speed things up and 2 hours later mine was "prepared for shipment", this morning i woke up and i have a ups tracking number.


somebody knows if theres a flight between shangai and cologne everyday?

PS: ordered mine on the 15th also.

it went from in-transtin for delivery cologne to natural disaster in shanghai

This is just paperwork for customs (makes things go quicker once the parcel arrives in Cologne). Your parcel is still in Shanghai.

By the data I've collected so far, it's likely that our 13" MBPs will carry the Natural Disaster status for three days. That means that they will not leave Shanghai until the 26th.

Once it ships to Korea, it only takes 24 hours to end up in the final delivery truck.

So the soonest we'll see anything that even so much as looks like a UPS van in our street is April 27-28.

Mine too, Fingers Crossed for shipping into the UK tonight/tomorrow.
I spoke to a UPS driver who came into work this morning, he said if they come into the country tonight we can call up and arrange collection from depot for tomorrow morning.

Let's hope the backlog has been reduced enough for the pallet to get on the sunday ride to europe. That'll make it for monday delivery.

Actually my original delivery date was the 28., so as long as it get's here before then, I can't complain...
 
when are the flights though? is there a flight today? I'm fairly certain mine will be on the next flight, all the paperwork is in Germany, and I've got export and departure scans from shanghai.

delivered here too (Germany) but my MBP 13" looks like used before :eek:

this mbp was definetly already in use and was just upgraded and rescrewed (? ^^)

screen is blurred from cleaning, body is a bit dirty, magsafeplug is manky and between the body and display is a 1mm big gap near the hinge <- is this normal?

It's a little bit disappointed for a brand new modell :/

What kind of goddamn natural disaster has taken place in Denmark over the past 24hours? Am i correct to assume that the import scan, means that it is in a UPS warehouse and not being delivered today?

All fine but it's NEVER new - probably just the logicboard and GPU

These MBPs seem to cause a disaster wherever they go.. Or UPS just discovered an excuse for any future delays.

I have officially declared UPS a bunch of knuckleheads! I just rang them up and they basically said they didn't know where my package where at the moment, it could be out on delivery and it could still be on its way... They didn't have any explanation to what the natural disaster tag applied in Denmark was supposed to mean - JESUS ***** CHRIST! My patience only last so long...
 
Mine was left in Cologne by stupid UPS. I was alongside sp3ctre at Cologne and for some reason (UPS being crap) mine didn't make the flight. The excuse given was 'ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS'. They're just using the volcano as an excuse now, the flights are all back on.

I HATE UPS. I AM NEVER USING THEM AGAIN!
