Our MBP is stranded in ShangHai thread [UK/Eu]

My first MBP ordered 16th still "not yet shipped".
I did read somewhere that this marvellous Apple company made computers??

So what is this gesture of goodwill I hear of? Perhaps saturday delivery to help clear their backlog? I'm sure that will reduce the number of packages they need to deliver on monday morning. That's got to help 
Btw, my MBP was ordered on the very first day, amongst those who received theirs today. It was alongside theirs on the flight that got to Cologne last night and someone at UPS decided to not put it on the flight to East Midlands Airport.

Hey guys,
Figured I'd add my shipping status to the mix!
I've ordered a 15" 2.56 with the HR Glossy. (Everything else the same). I also ordered a Magic Mouse, and the Remote with it.
Ordered around 30 mins after the update went live on 13th.
Shipped on the 16th (I'm in England).
The mouse and remote have shipped via Syncreon Technology- with tracking that only states In Transit to Customer- Shipment delayed. (It has been like this for around 3-4 days.) So no UPS or any other tracking yet.
The MBP, as expected, only states Merge in Transit GB.
The ETA before the delays was the 28th to the 29th. I just called Apple and they reconfirmed that they are pushing to have them out on time, perhaps a day late.
So no complaints from me (providing the ETA sticks), just thought I'd share it for anyone else in a similar situation.
Edit to add:
Apple also emailed me twice on the 19th - 20th (presumably for the tracking on the Mouse, and for the Remote), telling me that the order is in transit, but delayed (due to European traffic disruptions). Both emails were the same.

aww.. can't I get the hot delivery girl? Though, she'll probably be really busy and wont have time to come in for a cup of hot chocolate/lesbian love making.
too bad though, she does seem to have doodled on the box.
Ok so now I'm confused, is it going to germany or poland? well I guess it doesn't matter really.
hmm.. guess it's been around the place a bit. I hope the contents was in better shape than the box.

I was thinking about the possibility of a Saturday delivery and was wondering if UPS would make a one time exception this week because of the Volcano delay.
Has anyone tried to call UPS today for a Saturday delivery in this special case?
Especially people who expect their package to be in Cologne tonight.
I remember the following statement from the official UPS twitter feed:
In our case, backlog might be cleared in China but Saturday delivery would still make a difference.

I've been told that UPS don't ever to saturday deliveries in ireland. dunno if that's true, or how that works for other countries. You should call and ask them if your shipment has been upgraded from 'saver'.
Yup, They can't make any arrangements until the packages arrive in the UK. Either collection from the depot can be arranged or possibly a satuday delivery dependant on when they get in.
I'm still happy, as long as its delivered on 27/28 as originally suggested when I placed the order, pre volcano. Before I was getting "exception" from UPS they were quoting 26th, that would be a treat.

Would be great if they are flexible in making special arrangements for Saturday!
