Not me....ordered on 13th shipped on 16th. Still no tracking number. Called Apple but might as well have hit my head against a brick wall for the good it did

Ordered on the 13th shipped on the 16th too. Have no idea where it is. Could be in the UK, could still be in china.

Checked the US site and the only extra info I get is that my remote has been shipped via Syncreon Technology.

Annoying though, if I had known they were going to make such a fuss about making sure they turn up in the same package I would have ordered them separately.

so i lost track of this thread around page 46 :) but i just wanted to feed back to anyone waiting in Switzerland, that at my MBP is currently in Buchs!! I was a 19th 9:10am stuck in Pudong, and still am according to tnt, so don't beleive everything you read! There's hope yet :)

UPS are making no promises, no guarantees and are ensuring we don't put any pressure on them by saying they can't do anything. We can't do anything about that.

What is the number I should call Apple on (UK)?

So, people with MBPs currently en route to Cologne... should we be expecting a scan in Warsaw in the next hour or so?

Background:
Ordered day 1 within 2 hours, was on the first flight from shanghai. Arrived at cologne, but was not sent on to the UK although others were.

There should be a flight tonight / early tomorrow morning from cologne to the UK and my MBP and others in the same situation would make it in time for delivery saturday morning, but the service apple put us on isn't eligible for Saturday delivery (it could happen, but technically it shouldn't).

I called UPS and they said that UPS has a contract with apple that says they must make one delivery attempt before you can collect it and they can't modify any shipping details (such as upgrades to a sat. Del. Service) until it is in the UK which will be early morning and their hotline will be closed so I won't be able to upgrade in time. I might give apple a call and see what they can do on their UPS side of things.

This is so frustrating.

Thanks for the update. I had already accepted that those of us whose MBPs didn't get on the flight last night would be waiting until Monday. It's more annoying because we were SOOOO close...

Can we get issued a degree or some kind of other qualification in "patience and perseverance" for all of our hard work over the last few months? I think it's only fair. Those of us who followed the flight yesterday but didn't get our laptops today should get a certificate with "distinction".

Since UPS9 just appeared on Flightradar24 and is about 100-200km away from Warsaw... i'd say yes. <(^o^<)

Mine arrived this morning.

"Dispatched" from Shanghai 16/04, finally made it to Seoul on 22/04, Warsaw that evening, then UK this morning 23/04, arriving by 10am. Phew!

just to clarify. Those that have been seeing a departed scan for South Korea, should we be expecting an arrival in Europe toady??

I just got off the phone with Apple and the guy basically confirmed what UPS had said about at least one delivery attempt before pickup, but he quite adamantly said that UPS doesn't deliver on Saturday, which I'm sure they do.

I can say for certain that it is out of our hands

Although that isn't going to stop me or any of you checking flights and tracking info every 5 minutes.

This applies to all MBPs that are further on their travels than Korea:
Both Apple and UPS have made it clear that you should not expect or be able to get your MBP any sooner than Monday

where are the macbook pro's that were shipped on the 17th does anyone know?

I ordered applecare so I don't have a clue(still no tracking number therefore not in the uk? )

I might be going out on a limb here, but looking at the route on the usual flight trackers, UPS9 is well past Warsaw. Could it be that they are heading straight for Cologne?

Flights heading out of Poland into Germany, after a pleasant chat with my local UPS I'll be heading down to the UK depot in the morning should it arrive...

:D

It stopped in Kazakhstan, perhaps its skipping past Warsaw...

I'm willing to go down to my depot tomorrow and get mine, but the UPS number on the website (not my local) said that I can't until they have 1 delivery attempt. I might see if I can call my local depot. It's deeside in Cheshire. Any idea how I get the number?

That depends on when your billing information was received by UPS. If it was at 3 something in the morning, your MBP should be on that UPS9 Flight heading towards warsaw at the moment - but don't hold me to it.

If they received your billing information at 7:21 (like I did) chances are your MBP leaves Shanghai Sunday morning.

So they've got our Macbooks on the 2nd Day of the Flightban and will send it out (hopefully) on Day 5 after the Ban was over. That sounds efficient .
I have the feeling priority on those 13" base models is quite low.

My shiny new MBP has apparently been shipped via Kuhne & Nagel Spedition, I have a tracking number but can't seem to get any info anywhere. Apparently you used to go here

http://www.apecode.com/appletrack/

but since it is no longer working I have no idea where to track it?
