No! My ad agency works with Pad & Quill and I know they monitor Mac news and rumor sites religiously. They saw the stories pop up and got to work. They produce everything in house so it's of high quality. If you order this from them, be assured it's going to be the BEST DAMN $20 leather "coaster" you'll ever own! ;)

LOLOLOLOLOL... $20?

Here's 6 leather coasters on Amazon for $15... https://www.amazon.com/Leather-Coasters-Protect-Furniture-Scratch/dp/B075PW1KKG/

It legitimately looks like Pad & Quill just ordered something similar to those and stamped their name on them.

Any type of paper would be a better choice; more stable, keeps the speaker closer to the surface for better bass, and oh yeah... PRACTICALLY FREE.

I'm sure Apple will come out with their own coaster. It will be called the HomePad and be a major bargain at $80!

It helps to be already set up to make that product. Make a prototype and use the next week to duplicate the tooling to accommodate a large book of business in 2 weeks. Die cut auto sewn leather. Nice. Maybe they will make a synthetic material for the PC crowd.

Hmmm. Coaster for a really wide cup. :D

Light bulb! Or a pitcher. . . .

Why do they have to be made from a piece of a dead animal?

Pretty sure the animal wasnt killed just to harvest a coaster. Some people eat meat, might as welll use as much of it as possible.

Isn't there a proverb that goes something like "A fool and his money are soon parted" ?

Edit: Or maybe that was just on a fortune cookie. . . :)

I always say a “A fool and his money are some party.”

Why do they have to be made from a piece of a dead animal?

Because it’s better than dead vegetable. And plus, if we use all the vegetables for eating and protecting furniture, then there’s no food left for animals and they die anyway. Better to just use aminal.

If you say “Pad & Quill” REALLY slowly, it sounds like “Gullible”

Hmmm, tried it but it still sounds like pad & quill, just slower.
I’m no sucker. Can’t fool me!
Now, where can I pickup one of these high quality coasters for my HomePod?:p

Awesome

Such fast response.

Now I want to buy their stuff

Following news that the HomePod leaves white rings on some wood surfaces treated with oil or wax, Pad & Quill has designed and debuted new Leather Coasters that are meant to be used with the HomePod.

Available in two colors, Whiskey and Chestnut, the 4-inch HomePod Coasters are made with full-grain leather and offer a soft leather backing.

Pad & Quill's new coasters will prevent the rings that occur on some wood furniture due to a chemical reaction between the wood and the silicone used for the vibration-dampening base of the HomePod.

The coasters will also work with other speakers that include similar silicone bases and also leave white marks on surfaces, such as the Sonos One, but the coaster's size and shape were designed with the HomePod in mind.

The new Leather HomePod Coasters can be purchased from the Pad & Quill website starting today for $19.95. Orders will begin shipping out next week.

I would just fold a sheet of newspaper into a square and place it underneath the HomePod.

But what do I know about aesthetics.

I feel bad for anyone who falls for buying a $20 coaster that you can get on amazon in a pack of 6 for $15. Good luck.
