Any indication that Apple will restrict use of Apple Pay to not jb devices? Some apps already give that prompt. I want to jailbreak, but not at cost of losing Apple Pay.

As of now, no. Even if they did, I'm sure there would be a way around it just like other apps that restrict jailbroken devices.

I disagree with the premise that jailbreaking is insecure

If it is, than anywhere you have root access is insecure, such as OS X and windows

Jailbreaking is running unverified 3rd party code that exploits a security vulnerability. So yes, it's much more insecure than simply having root access. It's equivalent to sharing root access to your device with a group of anonymous hackers who are giving away a valuable exploit for "free".

Good luck with that.

This jailbreak is from china!

All the haters on this comment must've missed the wirelurker news last week. While not identical, The reputation of the programmer and that should make everyone think twice.

Racism? Lol

"China" doesn't mean everyone there is untrustworthy. Just like USA doesn't mean NSA. But think twice about trusting some random person. It doesn't appear the source code is released to verify it either.

Your post is full of inaccuracies. It does not void your warranty, restoring returns the phone to factory settings. Jailbreaking can not "brick" the device. The tweaks available enhance the overall experience. Nobody from Pangu is collecting data from you, you're not that important.

YOUR post is also full of inaccuracies.

How do you KNOW Pangu isn't mining data? They are aren't doing this for nothing.

How do you KNOW dip isn't important?

Condescension Rules your post.

Are there even any good Cydia apps left now? SBSettings is obsolete, I have hot spotting now, legitimately. Sort of miss BiteSMS. The only thing I can think of would be themes/icons.

Isn't the Pangu something from Deus Ex: Human Revolution? Is it the layer that separates Lower Hengsha from Upper Hengsha?

If there was some sort of back door and Pangu was collecting information, at least one of the hundreds (maybe thousands) of developers in this space would have noticed.

JB, then reverted back to the walled garden.

Just didn't feel right..and I don't care what people think but I just couldn't get myself to trust the 'pangu' team...

Jailbreak

I think one of my problems with Tweaks now is that they are not kept up to date as much as they were in the past (yes, I know some devs have been *extremely* fast to update. But, most of the devs with the bigger tweaks are slow to update their apps. BiteSMS was great to have with quick reply. And their mute feature is MUCH better than the stock Messages app.

Another problem with one of the main tweaks I really loved (Auxo 2) is that it caused SO much instability on my phone that it was crashing all the time. And I am not a tweak heavy kind of person. Just kept it to a few with no themes. However, it seemed like the devs could never get it stable enough to be a solid release. When I uninstalled that particular tweak, my phone ran fine with no crashes. Still loved it though.

All in all, I am really going back and forth this time on rather or not to jailbreak or just enjoy my stable (and malware free) iOS 8 phone. I hate it too because I am actually one of 'those' people who pays for the tweaks and I always like to support the developers. I am just not seeing that "amazing" jailbreak tweak that I just *have to have* now like I used to.

Please, someone convince me again! ;)
