$39.99 + $10 + $29.99 = $79.98

Idk how the work place discounts work. Maybe someone else does.

They didn't call CORe to push an activate through - they called the Verizon Activation Team (VAT). Anytime VAT is called, you lose UDP.

Moral of this story - if the phone won't activate, cancel right there in store. NO ONE HAS EVER WALKED OUT OF AN APPLE STORE WITH UDP INTACT IF VAT WAS INVOLVED.

CORe is called for Analyst Review when you have too many pending applications or are a new Verizon customer, etc. Purely credit issues.

VAT is for activations issues and it never goes well. You need to cancel on the spot if the phone won't activate.

Finally!!! You guys are moping around there whining that no one wants your UDP lines and I spoon feed you how to create $45/mo unlimited MHS lines and it takes you 2 days to finally do it, lol!

Obviously they are not really MHS lines and people need to be careful about calling Verizon with a MiFi or tablet on the line b/c the line does have voice minutes.

Also - you cannot AOL those lines with a data only device on them. And the recipient needs either an already active SIM card or a 4G LTE phone to activate a SIM card on the line.
Thanks julesjam you definitely know your stuff!!!

Sorry about that, this is pretty much the sheet i am looking at except its 17% instead of 18%

https://www.lehigh.edu/phones/VerizonWirelessNov09.pdf

thats where i am getting these numbers from that i am talking about.

I'd love to get the 450 minute select single line plan if someone could help me out.
What they are calling the 450 Minute select single line plan is the 450 Minute Talk & Text plan for $59.99/mo. All it is is the 450 Minute Talk plan with UL texts for $20 more.

So what you want is the NationWide 450 minute Talk & Text plan with UDP. It is $59.99 + $29.99 = $89.98/mo. Then your discount applies to the plan. Whether or not it applies to the data too idk.

Has anyone been successful buying an iPhone 6 off contract full price at best buy without having to pay the extra $50 premium they charge??

If the line is a 450 minute, pay as you go text NationWide individual plan with UDP, you simply call and ask that the minutes be switched to the $15 30 minute loyalty plan.

So first you have to have an individual line like that, although I am sure it would work with the 900 minute or unlimited minute individual NW plan too, as long as the plans have pay as you go texts.

I am not going to answer this question repeatedly any more. I posted how I did several times complete with a screen shot. People need to RTFT.
I lied, I just posted YET AGAIN how to do this:

Thanks for that reply! That's kinda how I was figuring it out to be as well.

They price match apple's price in-store for off contract phones. You just have to ask for the price match. Or you can get the mover's packet from the USPS and see if they will honor the 10% off coupon on full price phones.

Ok cool the phone I want is in stock at a local best buy but not in stock at the Apple Store across the street, would they still do it? I do have one of the usps movers coupons as well!

While some may have hours to dedicate to this topic, not everyone does.
Then perhaps this side business is not for you?

Seriously, it is not like you have some God given right to create UDP lines through Apple, AOL them and flip the iPhones and be spoonfed how to do it by people who get no compensation to spoonfeed others and are in fact helping the competition when they do it, YKWIM?

you will have to ask them it is very store dependent. But if you can get them to honor the USPS mover's packet 10% off coupon it is a better deal anyhow.

Just a few more now, don't give up, you can do it! :p

No take my UDP line please

happy to talk to you about it, but I'm having a hard time PMing you through MacRumors. Hope you can PM me back through slickdeals. Thanks.

Take mine

I think I'd like to talk with you about your line. I'm not new to forums -- just new to MacRumors -- so for some reason I'm having issues with PMs. Is there another way we could touch base?

Not to be a broken record, but I'd be interested in talking to you about your line.

How does one go about changing a Nationwide Unlimited data line to one of these loyalty lines for oneself? What is the step by step process and if there is already a step by step process online somewhere (a wiki entry), would someone be so kind to post a link to it?

I posted it just a few pages back.

One last question for all the experts in the thread. :)

Just finished up an AOL of a UDP. Rep was really nice and enthusiastically encouraged me not to change the plan.

The AOL confirmation page shows "LOYALTY PLAN $15 / 30 MIN 1YR". Does that mean that the $15/mo is only good for the first year? If so, any ideas what will happen after the first year? Will I need to switch to a 450min plan, then?

Thanks!!

So I'm trying to change my plan to NW share 700 min (currently 1400 min) so it will match what's showing at apple.com so I can add a new line. In myverizon I can change it but it says it won't be effective until the end of the billing cycle. So will the phone activate at the apple store if I order and pickup today?

Has anyone been successful activating if the only plan you can choose at apple doesn't match exactly what you currently have?

That just means that it usually requires a 1 year contract extension, I believe. But if you already have a 2 year contract, you'll be good to go.

Excellent. Thanks!

Now to get a SIM card from the local Verizon store without them messing with my plan..... :)

I have a guy that works for Verizon contacted me online saying he'll take one of my lines, but he wants to do it in the Verizon store. Does this sound like a setup? If I give him my number will they be able to go into my account and screw me over somehow?

So I successfully added my niece to my plan doing the add a line and ship to home. The activation would not work at first, but the phone eventually activated after about ten minutes of trying.

I want to add both of my parents to my line and do in store pickup. They will be keeping their same numbers from ATT. They are not on contract and my mom is the primary on the account. I plan to do my Dad's phone first to prevent any problems with possibly closing the account and losing one of their numbers in the process. Should I even worry about that?

Also, I have read some people have had problems with activating the lines in the store. How are they handling the activations now? Scan or actually activating? Can I order a new phone there right after activating the first one?

Thanks in advance!
