Thanks
I hope that ALL those people on this board who have sold multiple

multiple lines are safe...
Can you imagine all the paypal disputes over the lines being cancelled....ouch....
Umm, you aren't understanding what I am saying. Verizon can take UDP off of ANY line at any time. If Verizon takes away your UDP and you are on contract you have 60 days from receiving written notice of this change to object. And if Verizon won't restore your UDP, you have to be let out of your contract w/o an eft.
The people the most protected from having UDP taken away from them are those with the longest terms remaining on their contracts b/c Verizon would take the biggest financial hit if they had to let those people out of contract w/o etf b/c you got a subsidized phone in return for signing on for another 2 years. The longer you have left on contract, the less time Verizon has had to recoup the subsidy through your monthly wireless fees.
You seem to think the $30/mo data plan in the contract somehow makes you more vulnerable to Verizon taking away your UDP. I am telling you, no, just the opposite - being off contract makes you more vulnerable. And having an older contract that doesn't have that term in it does not protect you either as
VERIZON CAN TAKE YOUR UDP AWAY ON OR OFF CONTRACT DOESN'T MATTER. With the older contracts, they have less time left on them so Verizon has recouped more of the subsidy and it would be less costly for Verizon to let someone out of an older contract.
Again, the longer the term left on your contract, the MORE protected you are b/c Verizon would be taking a bigger financial hit if they had to let you out of contract w/o an etf.
Also, when someone assumes liability on a line, they are taking it subject to Verizon's T&C's which they have to agree to in order to have the line AOL'ed to them. Sounds like you have never been on the receiving end of an AOL.
The CA and T&C's are clear - Verizon can change your plan AT ANY TIME. These lines are not special lines that can't have their UDP cancelled and no one is promising anyone that. If the buyer is mistaken and thinks that Verizon cannot take their UDP away for the term of the contract, that is b/t them and Verizon, not b/t the seller of the UDP line and the buyer. The buyer is responsible for understanding what Verizon's CA and T&C's are.

Ok was it one of you trolling me on HoFo asking me to pay THEM to take a UDP from me?
hahahahahahaha, not me!
