it's a very involved process, especially 5 or 6 lines.
As Jules said, if you don't want to get involved, then stay on AT&T. In the long run unless you really care to nickle/dim your bill, may not really worth it for you.

You can also offer someone some compensation with experience and time to get everything done for you. Please don't expect people to hand everything to you.

Information is power, also cost time and money.

Last post and then I'm done... At least your reply wasn't a smart remark but I still don't agree with you. MR is about sharing information, opinions, and helping one another out. If everyone charged for their experience nothing would get accomplished. Just being pointed in the right direction would have went a long way. Maybe a summary or link to a post.

Finally, I don't expect everything to be handed to me. I searched and found an overwhelming amount of info that I couldn't absorb in the time that I have available. Oh well...

I have a life and can't spend all day reading on MR... I work 50-60 hours a week and I'm finishing up my engineering degree. I assumed that a person like you who has nothing better to do than hang out here all day and stay up until 3am waiting for a phone, could help me out. I guess I was wrong.

Information is power, also cost time and money.
for the Engineering in you

I=P
I=T^4 + $^2
P=T^4 + $^2

If you have no time....
Please solve for $

please read slickdeal thread
please read macrumors thread.
because all the information you ever need is there.
When you start a post with I dont really have time to read the whole thing puts people off.

in short, get an UDP line somehow, most likely with AOL first.
then you can start the whole process of ordering lines.
(read rules above)

good luck

sounds like engineering is not the job for you.

Crap, it was an ATT restock. Better take a nap.

i have a feeling your only have one or two apple stores around you.... :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
2 but I think what happens is that the UPS truck comes during the day and they sell them as they unload them. Not a huge metro area, we are lucky to even have 1 let alone 2 stores.

I could drive to many b/t 2 and 3 hours away but not in the condition I am in now.

i hope you feel better... :)

No. If you have a promo that requires you have an UL text plan, then removing the UL text plan will affect that promo. AFAIK, the talk and text $20 data promo goes away if you remove the UL texting. You can call Verizon to confirm.

I would not eff around with the $20 talk and text data promo.

Is there anyway to get this text/data promo? Or is it some old promo? Anybody have the feature code for it?

I guess I should drop out now...:D
Never heard of Florida Gulf Coast where is it, Tampa?

I wish. I am not sure if it survives an AOL, but someone who has the promo would have to chime in on that.

It's not a feature, it is a discount so no way to add it without a verizon rep and although people were able to get verizon reps to do it in the past, that ended in 2011 I believe.

It does survive the aol process. It was confirmed by someone on hofo.

so 50 bucks unlimited talk text and data?
I think it is $100 for a single line plan. For family share 2 lines it is $170.

----------

We'd have to have someone with it open a line and do an aol see if that works.
I think BigCheapBastard has it and has trouble adding a line b/c the phone won't activate. He is only getting the free UL text option to choose from for text plans.

I think others on AC with the promo may have had a problem, too IIRC.

BTW - I think you can get the phones to activate if they won't by sticking your current UDP line's SIM card in the phone. Basically you do 1/2 of iMyers Method.

$100? instead of 120? (NW $89.99+ Data 29.99)

since I barely touch my talk minutes.... wont help me too much.... good to know though....

Well this is annoying. I did a phone number change on my AoL line, it went into effect today. I then saw a nearby store had a Plus, so I figured I'd grab it. Went to add it to my account and Apple is saying Verizon can't find my account with my new number or my old number. Verizon sent me texts saying the number had been changed, the new number shows up on the Verizon website in my account, and when I make calls out it shows up as the new number. Not sure why this change isn't being communicated to Apple.

You didn't have to have unlimited minutes - you could do 450 minutes on a single line plan so that would be $70. There was also a 5 F&F promo to be added to 450 minute lines.

When you change your number and it was your primary line you have to reregister your online account access.

Anyone have luck reselling the iPhone 6+ 128GB. Seems like fees kill this thing.

And it is pricey to insure when you ship. I think the 16GB is a bit small in storage, but those are the most cost effective for resale. It seems like the iP6 16GB is the way to go for resale.

my family has 1400 shared plan.
two dumb lines
two unlimited data line

Single line stuff is for knowledge/theoretical application to hit Verizon harder! Seriously, they were making hand over fist when the charged us "overage" talk minutes.

I have been using the hangouts dialer using GV and it is great! While I don't use it for texts, you can use it for texts. But idk about on iPhone.

Really? I'm still able to log on with my existing username and password, and it shows my new number online when I do that. Is there a separate registration I need to do?
