Like I have been telling people on SDs, I am not a magical being with supernatural powers. All I am doing is reading what other people report they have done and then combining that with my own experience to figure out what works and what doesn't.but wouldnt this just be a variation of bb?
you got an iphone, pop your old sim back, wouldnt that work?
I can tell you that there is definitely a difference b/t how upgrades are processed when ordering through Verizon vs. when ordering through a 3rd party retailer. With the latter, the switch order is tied to the SIM card the phone ships with so if you just destroy it, you are good. That is why the UDVZWIP4 Method works.
Ordering through Verizon it is not tied to the SIM card otherwise the FAM wouldn't work. It is about that pending activation left on your line but idk if it goes away or not if you try the BB method when ordering through Verizon.
I also can tell you that I have screwed around with SIM cards, dummy ESNs and pending activations and made terrible problems on my line that even Tier 2 Tech support supervisors couldn't undo, lol! They ended up having to cancel my line and charge me the etf and then refund the etf and then create a new line with a new phone number and then switch me back to my old phone number to fix some of the problems I have caused.
Remember that Verizon's network is a hybrid CDMA/LTE network, it is not a pure GSM network like ATT or TMobile. It is not as simple as just popping SIM cards in devices as there is still a CDMA component to Verizon's system.
