Doesn't the AOL add 1 year to the contract or is that just for smartphone plans?
Actually, under the old rules they used to truncate any contracts over 1 year to 1 year. Any contracts under 1 year had their remaining term.

Now, no changes to the contract term period.

----------

How Do you know when the refresh is?
It's 2:10am and 2:10pm eastern time for apple store. istocknow.com keep hitting refresh until 2:30 that is when it is usually fully updated.

Has anyone seen if the phone would fit in a small flat rate box?

Yes. It sorta fits. I have been using the small flat rate box for iPhone 6's. It boldges a bit but they said that's ok. I insure it anyway. Just put some extra tape on it to make sure it stays closed.

Mail person told me it probably would fit. I just want it to be better padded. Don't want the buyer to have any excuses to return the phone.

If you can get a Regional Flat Rate box, those are larger and not much more expensive than a small flat rate, depending upon where you're shipping it. But you'd probably have to get a used one since they're not available at the PO.

Therefore I cannot print my label at home.
i think you save like buck and half if you print from home. I figure 3 bucks/shipment loss is not a huge deal for me. I charge 25, usually with medium flat rate it runs me 28 bucks.
I ordered some regional boxes to my house (free from usps.com), i am sure my wife is going to flip out when she sees them.

You should be able to print the labels through usps click n ship. I know paypal shipping doesn't offer that rate, but stamps.com does if you have that.

Uh oh, last time I ordered boxes it somehow got stuck on some subscription thing and they kept coming every few weeks... boxes & boxes of boxes! I originally thought it was just a glitch with my order but then I heard lots of people ordering boxes via usps had the same thing happen!

I guess it doesnt help now if i say i ordered TWO different sizes, so I will have 20 boxes to start. Monthly subscription? I suppose I can always get more iphones and bring them to masses.....:D:rolleyes::D

I spoke to a friend of mine who's a UDP upgrade guru and he said I can get a new basic phone line and still do the upgrade trick and have it work, no need to AOL an existing basic line.

Anyone know if a deposit is required to get a new udp line/iPhone and you AOL the line within a day or so do you still get back the full deposit or partial? Thanks!!

So I went today to pick up my third phone. There was a 'Analyst review required for Credit' alert, so the apple rep called Verizon. VZ wanted a fax of my utility bill and my passport (I have an international passport and don't have a state ID) because there was a fraud alert on my account. Since I didn't have a paper copy anyway, I decided to cancel my pickup, figuring I would lose UDP anyway.
Do you guys recommend trying again?

When you get a new line, you don't do an upgrade, you just get a subsidized phone with the added line. Are you talking about that or upgrading?

If your friend has a way to add a line and get a subsidized phone with the added line without having to have a 2year data plan commitment, I would love to know how. Please share!

I would call Verizon and get the fraud alert taken off of your account. Fax them your utility bill by printing it out.

Marky would know better than me, but I would start with 611 and explain you are trying to add a line and got a fraud alert so need to be transferred to whatever department handles that.

If anyone needs to USE/borrow a dumb line PM me... I have one sitting suspended ... Its just used for these purpose's.

We could AOL.. you do the upgrade ..then I take it back..
PM me.

Thanks. Fraud number is 888-483-7200. They said I had multiple open line requests. If you or Apple  cancel your order, it's still an open request. Few of those will trigger red flag.

How long does it take to close those open requests?

I recently obtained a UDP via AOL. Are there any issues with assigning a phone to the line so I can begin using it? What about obtaining a new SIM card for use in a phone to put on this line?

Thanks for any & all help. I don't want to do anything to loose the UDP.

They said they are working on it. Don't know how long. Well, my area has been red for a while. When I picked one phone yesterday, few people in same group walk out with 2 iphones/person. They do pay cash and walk in group.

Jules, where else did you say to post about giving UDPs away. I have a post on HOFO but no success.

jdougal,

I would be interested in an AOL line if I could AOL the line to my current line and then seperately add the AOL'd as a sub account, and then use it to add more UDP lines through APPLE? Reason being, my current add a line through my primary will not be here until Nov 6. Should I anticipate any problems activating the line being shipped to me? Thanks in advance!

You have to wait till your order to arrive and activate before you can add another line from main or sub-account.
