Since the SIM cards are "pre" activated by the scan activation in store, you should be able to use an adapter to activate them in another device. If they were completely virgin SIM cards, you would get the incompatible SIM card error if you tried to activate them for the first time in a device that used a different size SIM card.

Once a SIM card is already active on a line, you can use an adapter to switch b/t devices no problem.

I don't own any other Iphones, only one 6 plus and this phone still doesn't activate. This is One of ship to home disasters. I broke my leg and have not be able to get to the Apple Store yet.... huh! in a wheelchair...Still in 14 day return window. I decided not to mail it back just yet.

You see the activation fees on the very next bill IME or you don't ever see them. I will try your way next time. I was trying to develop a method to sell a sealed device but like I said, I didn't recoup the $35 activation fee, which really surprised me but the open ones don't sell for much less than the sealed ones.

That's good to know! I thought they could come at any time if Verizon happened to notice. If you do try it my way, just know that I haven't been able to order a phone for almost a week. Every time we've gotten Verizon to clear one thing up they throw something else at us. I'm not sure if it's how we've been activating the phones that got our account flagged or not.

Some of the 6's were activated, some were not. I always activated the lines with the 5s, then sometimes switched it to the 6 if we did 2 phones. I never activated a phone with the SIM it came with, thinking that it bypassed the activation fee for Best Buy so it probably would do the same for this.

Just some further clarification as to how you activated them. Did you type in the IMEI # online to activate or just pop the new sim into your 5S? Thx

My story today...

I ordered last night a VZW space grey 6 plus - 64 GB. For the first time ever in this process, I was flagged with a call to CORe. Awesome, right? NO!

They push through the activation after calling CORe and it came up as TDP on myverizon. Needless to say, I brought back the phone and had the whole line deactivated. I know when to be done.

Unfortunate, too, because that phone was by unicorn (reference to Gone in 60 Seconds). Oh well, it's been an amazing adventure and as Jules said the commaradie has been awesome! I'm more of a lurker, but his season and stretch really had me engaged. Got ahead financially, got some Christmas gifts, and the best part of all is that I met some incredible people along the way both on here and on Craigslist. Yes, Craigslist! Incredible, right?

This is what came up on lyngo's easy pay when doing the transaction.

Anybody else ever seen this? I was under the impression that calling CORe was always okay.

Returns

For those that have done returns. Is the Apple store suppose to contact Verizon to cancel the line or am I? The apple store rep told me to contact Verizon to cancel the line which seem odd. I recall ppl having issues with returns but don't recall exactly what those issues were.

Mark, I believe Analyst reviews are ok. Not sure if that's the same as the error message lyngo received about calling the Core. I believe the error message I received specifically mentions Analyst review.

Part II - UDP For Life

LMAO I just called Verizon to release another line and the guy goes, "I know you I've helped you before, yeah you're famous around here the guy that releases a lot of lines!"

Maybe I should slow down.

Damn, that is too funny!! You guys keep it up. Keep the Robin Hood ball rolling.

I'm in San Diego and I have a local couple that hit me up for a UDP line on the 12th. I wasn't willing to take the risk of getting stuck with a line with only a few hours before the rumored cut-off date if they flaked.

Is transferring still a go because I would really like to help this lady out. She needs 2 lines. Coming over from TMobile as a new account.

Any success other than business transfers in the last 24 hours?

Well no wonder they know you by name :D I remember reading in this thread that the AOL department is a small department so I bet they remember a lot of people from this thread.

Haha of that's the case I need to get that guys direct number and his schedule because he's good at his job.

I did a transfer yesterday and it wasn't to a business.

The one time I got this was when I was picking up an ip6 16gb gold (model and gb probably doesn't matter but anyways..). The issue I had with that screen was the sim inside the iphone wasn't compatible.

Long story short, they cancelled that one out and brought out another one, same model and everything, processed it and it went through just fine.

Ymmv but that was the only time I had that screen. Apple was on the phone and told the apple rep the sim wasn't compatible with vzw.

We got this today. Trying another in store pickup right now. I suspect it will end the same way :(

Trying to add a line right now on Apple.com. getting an error message after I put in my account password. Thoughts?

Also, on hold with AOL dept for 16 minutes so far!

Yes, I saw that. If you search the thread for "halted" you will find my posts. It happened to me the time I did 2 lines successively. He activated the first one fine but the second one showed that screen. He called CORe and they cleared the pending application but the scan activation still would not go through so CORe said to call VAT. I said cancel the order and left the store.

GTK - that is exactly what happened to us. CORe cleared applications, the phone still wouldn't go through, we just cancelled and are trying again.

The line will stay on your account until the end of the billing cycle unless Apple or a Verizon rep calls CORe to push the cancellation through.

Analyst Reviews say Analyst Review on the easy pay.

Currently my account is still under the Fraud Department. Every time I dial 611 I get transferred to financial services and they tell me my balance. I can't get through to a regular rep or to tech support. I got financial services to transfer me to fraud and was on hold for 30 minutes and finally hung up.

What do they keep telling you?

What happens if you dial 611 from your phone?

I am going to pay my balance off and then deal with fraud tomorrow b/c I think they close at 8pm eastern. Do you know if they are open on a Saturday?
