Aol is success. It only took one call, thank goodness. But previous post had me expecting hardships.
Nice price I hope it goes up to 1000Now I'm nervous about this. I sold mine for $500 on eBay hopefully the system still allows the transfer.

Keep us posted. I'm still debating what to do with my UDP. If I could port my AT&T number while keeping that UDP I'd do that in an instant, but no one has figured out a way to do that from what I can tell. I like the idea of being able to tether with impunity on VZW with my iPad but also have been using my AT&T number for nearly 10 years and don't want to lose that UDP either since it costs me just $60/month after taxes (my new VZW plan is about $72/month after taxes with my corporate plan).
Per ebay

PayPal sided with buyer but they won't get there refund till I get my line back.
Message from paypal
"The merchandise should be in the same condition as when your buyer received it. "
LoL, any idea how long they can hold the fund, cause I doubt that I'm going to get the line back.
Can you appeal paypal decision based on ebay decision ? Well the buyer signed 2 year agreement with Verizon for aol line so I dont think you can get it back or you have to do aol and get 2gb line so maybe it is cheaper to refund buyers money still the buyer will have to pay eft or Cary that line for 2 years.
They can aol the line back with UDP in take the same way it was AOLed to them.
why cant your port your number to pageplus or GV, then port to Verizon.
Sounds like a straight shot to me.
you can always sell it on ebay for 1000 dollars, as mentioned above.

Not sure if there is an appeal process or not, but I'll find out later tonight. As for the line it was simply canceled by Verizon , don't think the buyer had to pay etf otherwise I would've herd him complaining about it. According to paypal message it needs to be returned to me as a udp loyal plan as that was what was sold at the time.
I guess it means you get to keep your money
As soon as AT&T receives a port request they cancel the line. The GV trick works only on VZW. I thought about opening up a new TDP on AT&T Next, swapping numbers, and porting but apparently AT&T won't swap numbers between a TDP and UDP, either.
The only "advice" I got from HoFo was from an AT&T apologist who told me that years ago people changed numbers all the time so I should just tell all my colleagues and clients over the past 10 years to start calling me at a new number.
does the number you want to port has UDP? Now it all makes sense....
Yes. I have an AT&T UDP with the number I've been using for years. Ideally, I'd like to port it to Verizon, but keep the AT&T UDP, and possibly transfer it to a relative if I decide not to keep 2 lines long term.
There is another post in hofo.
Probably can be done, just not a simple process like verizon.....

So I just got my first bill since all the new lines. On my main account I'm down to five lines, all new lines with UDP, and I noticed that I had ETF charges and credits for all the lines on the day when everything quit working. I called in and she turned me back on that day, but didn't give me any details of what happened. Looking at the lines now I have contract end dates of 2016 still, but my data contract end date is 2014 (the day they were terminated and then reactivated). Wondering if this was anything that might cause me issues down the road, if my UDP might be terminated based on not being under contract, but then still be held to an ETF as the line is still under contract to 2016. Thoughts?
not exactly sure what this is about but I'd love to hear more details about "the day when everything quit working" what ever that means
All these apple.com add a line experiences played out very different. I still have Iphone 6 that I purchased at subsidized price from Apple.com and mail to home, but neither Verizon or Apple can activate Verizon service with Iphone unlimited data on it. Apple store replaced (not exchanged ) the phone and I was told that as long as I have my original SIM..it will hold unlim Iphone data.
The original phone wouldn't even go past activation screen neither with Apple or Verizon, still no service on replacement phone, but it works on WiFi.
I never tried to put in this phone already activated Verizon SIM card and never tried to stick original SIM card from Iphone into another phone either. I have only one Iphone. Now Verizon tells me that Apple never sent any info over to Verizon about my new number, neither my new phone...They are guessing that this is prepaid phone... How do you like that? Still I would like my new contract with unlimited Iphone data. I just can't get. Does anybody have any idea how to get this new phone number activated?
Come on bright minds!
YesSo... You got a phone at discounted price but no contract?
