I am having trouble navigating the site. I am new to this site and forum. Can one of you please post a link and what do you think these lines go for?
Thanks for the help.

RTFT! lol! seriously though, just scroll back a couple of pages. One final question.
I have been reading Verizon has stopped doing AOL as of Nov. 13th...Is this true and if this is the case then it seems like there is no way I could get an UDP? Is this accurate? Has anyone done an AOL with an UDP after the 13th?
Thanks
Prior to being disconnected, I too was blocked from calling 611 and had to dial customer service from a land line and type in a friend's Verizon number to get through to a rep. A day after all of my lines were reconnected, they were suspended again. Tier 2 tech support was able to determine what had happened was that fraud had blacklisted my phones. Not just the active phones - every single phone that had ever been on my account even before I assumed liability on the lines. Even some of the iPhones that I had not yet activated so technically were never active on my account.
I was able to get all of the phones unblacklisted but I had find all of the IMEIs as there was no way for them to figure out which phones were blacklisted except by IMEI. Whoever in fraud did this did not even leave very good notes as to why it was done. It took hours of my time and supervisors to get it all corrected.
No I had them unblacklisted within hours. Also, they were only blacklisted on Verizon so they would work on any other carrier. I believe many of mine were either shipped overseas or in use on carriers other than Verizon.Wow. Did you get any complaints from buyers that their phones had stopped working, albeit temporarily? I kept both of mine, so I'll know pretty quickly if they do anything, though I'm guessing my low volume will fall well beneath the radar.
Very true, but people would know b/c their own lines would be suspended/disconnected.It could be a nightmare for the people who flipped several dozen of these if all of a sudden Verizon starts blacklisting the IMEIs.

One other point I found out, if a device is blacklisted and it is currently active on Verizon, it has to check for a software update b/f it will be kicked off of the network. So in theory at least, if you are rooted and disable the OTA update checker, you should be able to avoid that.

All I can tell you is what happened. The IMEIs were on the Verizon blacklist but were not globally blacklisted. Perhaps it takes some time for Verizon to communicate the IMEI to the global black list?Interesting. I thought that the carriers had reached an agreement in which blacklisting by one of them would be enforced by the others. I believe T-Mobile and AT&T will enforce each other's blacklists.
I totally agree and that is what I said to them. I was going to ask for a month's billing credit over this but honestly, I can't bear to be on the phone with Verizon anymore and I don't want any nosy reps looking at my account any more as I have 3 brand new UDP lines that now have no data contract requirement (yipee!!) and I want to keep it that way. I can't risk getting some idiot on the phone and having them screw up my account. Is it just me or does it seem strange that V wouldn't contact the owner of the lines (especially since all the bills were paid in full etc) and inquire about a "fraud" suspicion before just cancelling the lines with no notice ? I mean it's not like they don't have your phone number lol![]()
Just called Verizon twice. Told them what we were trying to do. Both times they said if you do an AOL with a line that has an UDP that once the line changes owners (i.e. names) there would be no UDP anymore and it would be changed to a TDP.
Can someone please explain this? If I tried to buy one of these on ebay how i would go about keeping the UDP or I wouldn't be able to based on the statement above?
rule number 1, never mention UDP and never bring the CSR's attention to the UDP, rule number 2, refer to rule number 1 !!!
Ask the AOL rep ("sweetly" to quote Ozzy) to transfer the line exactly as it exists in the donor account to your account exactly as it is with no changes of any kind what so ever. Add that if they cannot transfer the account exactly you do not want to assume liability for the line
Big Red has thousands upon thousands of reps just keep trying until you hit paydirt - also AOL from 9 to 5 mon - Fri is a much saner group the weekend evening crews are straight out of the mental hospital
Read this thread from the beginning (yes it will take 2 hours) but you'll learn a lot!!!
I agree I am sorry. I will read it and see where it goes. What is the 13th deadline then? Is that just a scare tactic?
no need to be sorry I hope you didn't think I was yellin at yah !!!
I think the 13th was a real "event" I'm just not sure if was a steadfast rule or perhaps just a memo but it is definitely on their radar, some more than others
we have heard numerous people getting it through so it can be done if you get the "right" CSR
Thanks again. Do you know anyone that has one they would be giving away for free?
Also, if I do get one and I want to put it as the 5th line of the NW plan, how would i do that? They would know I want to merge it with my current plan or i have to tell them? I have never done an AOL so I am kinda new to it.
stop calling verizon and read the effing thread. Rtft!!!!just called verizon twice. Told them what we were trying to do. Both times they said if you do an aol with a line that has an udp that once the line changes owners (i.e. Names) there would be no udp anymore and it would be changed to a tdp.

hahahahahahaha - I hate to be like that but wtf with people calling verizon about loopholes? On the SD thread people will post that they called Verizon and the Verizon rep told them they would lose UDP if they did the BB method. Really? You called Verizon to ask about the BB method? Yep, they sure did!Theres our girl !!! lmao![]()
I think he was using multiple accounts and his accounts are older.Anyone heard from Mr emoji----cnotes....I wonder if any of his lines were interrupted or otherwise messed with by Verizon.
I mean wtf? First they try every trick in the book to expel me and my devices from Verizon and now I am a Verizon employee??!?!?!?!? LOL!
Should I register, hahahahahahaha!!!!
hahahahahaha, I didn't even notice!I got that too, love that they spelled Employees wrong!![]()
That's what I was told. But a few people was able to do it. So I guess it's depends on the repJust called Verizon twice. Told them what we were trying to do. Verizon reps are not going to help you to use loopholes to get around Verizon's official policy! They may participate inadvertently, which is why you don't mention UDP when you AOL a line, but they aren't going to tell you how to get around Verizon's official policy ON A PHONE CALL THAT MAY BE RECORDED FOR GOODNESS SAKE!
I tried it too it's gone my friend. Udp will forever be missed.Attempted to add a line on Apple.com hoping somehow Black Friday caused another glitch to happen. I'm not getting an error anymore but adding an unlimited data line is still gone. It goes through to picking the normal tiered choices. Damnit
