All these apple.com add a line experiences played out very different. I still have Iphone 6 that I purchased at subsidized price from Apple.com and mail to home, but neither Verizon or Apple can activate Verizon service with Iphone unlimited data on it. Apple store replaced (not exchanged ) the phone and I was told that as long as I have my original SIM..it will hold unlim Iphone data.
The original phone wouldn't even go past activation screen neither with Apple or Verizon, still no service on replacement phone, but it works on WiFi.
I never tried to put in this phone already activated Verizon SIM card and never tried to stick original SIM card from Iphone into another phone either. I have only one Iphone. Now Verizon tells me that Apple never sent any info over to Verizon about my new number, neither my new phone...They are guessing that this is prepaid phone... How do you like that? Still I would like my new contract with unlimited Iphone data. I just can't get. Does anybody have any idea how to get this new phone number activated?
Come on bright minds!
Did you go to apple store and have them complete activation

Thank you, but I really wanted a new line with unlim data.

To put things into perspective a bit, we all would have loved to just *not* have a plan attached to the phone that we had to get rid of... Some of us, myself included were paying people to take the lines from me.

Obviously at this point... You want that unlimited data though... Either way you still came out ahead :)

curious whats the most you paid ?

not exactly sure what this is about but I'd love to hear more details about "the day when everything quit working" what ever that means

I set up autopay on the main account under my wife's name a few days before it would draw- next thing I knew I got an email saying thanks for the payment and within the hour all five lines quit working..couldn't even cal 611. Hooked the satellite internet back up so I could use the magicjack phone and was told the lines were disconnected in error and she turned everything back on for me. Get the bill this week and see the five lines terminated, five ETFs charged, and five ETFs credited all on the same day. While all this is going on my other account where I was down to just the (suspended by me) seed line after AOLing the rest away was terminated, ETF charged, ETF credited...this one the rep wouldn't turn back on for me...basically paid me to go away. Leaves me where I am today with the five lines for the family, showing lines under contract until 2016 but data out of contract as of 11/11.

wow thanks for the explanation that's crazy! And they never sent you any notice as to why they terminated the accounts / lines? Were all your seed accounts new or had you been with Big Red for a while? So now you still have 5 UDP's but none of them under contract? (I see you say the lines are under contract but the data is not I didn't know they could separate the two) Is there anything in your mind that you think triggered this? (sorry for all the questions!) I often wondered what the people receiving UDP AOL's were saying to the CSR's since they are often noobs they may be sharing too much info with Big Red reps

My account was disconnected also. It was the fraud department who did that btw and I believe it was done after I called the AOL department to attempt another AOL after 11/13/14.

I got all but 1 line reconnected and it was just a basic line so I didn't care but I did notice that the data contract end date on my new UDP lines is the day they were disconnected. Prior to that, the data contract end date was 11/14/14. The contract end dates are in line with the date the lines were activated.

Prior to being disconnected, I too was blocked from calling 611 and had to dial customer service from a land line and type in a friend's Verizon number to get through to a rep. A day after all of my lines were reconnected, they were suspended again. Tier 2 tech support was able to determine what had happened was that fraud had blacklisted my phones. Not just the active phones - every single phone that had ever been on my account even before I assumed liability on the lines. Even some of the iPhones that I had not yet activated so technically were never active on my account.

I was able to get all of the phones unblacklisted but I had find all of the IMEIs as there was no way for them to figure out which phones were blacklisted except by IMEI. Whoever in fraud did this did not even leave very good notes as to why it was done. It took hours of my time and supervisors to get it all corrected.

I haven't received a new bill yet so idk what it will look like. I may try to get the basic line reconnected after I see the bill as it was almost off contract anyhow. I was told by a supervisor that they would credit the etf if I were charged the etf for that line since I did not request that it be disconnected.

Everyone should check their bills, their data contract end dates and the IMEIs of their phones, including the ones they sold.

Jules, you get your Nexus yet? :)
No I have been too busy trying to keep my damn Verizon lines from getting disconnected and my phones blacklisted.

Effers in fraud. My bill was paid as was the bill of anyone I AOLed the lines to. May the ftard who did this rot in hell.

I'm negotiating a trade now, iPhone 6 64GB for Nexus 6 32GB. I wanted the 64GB but they are impossible to find.
I am holding out for the 64GB white no matter how long it takes. But I will buy from playstore or Motorola directly only.

Does anyone know what verizon looks at when you ask to move up your upgrade date a few weeks? They said it takes 24hrs for them to decide if they will do it.
Verizon will let anyone upgrade 30 days early if they upgrade through Verizon. You have to place the order through telesales.

----------

I have an iPhone 5 with LTE under Verizon's database. Does the person ship me the sim thats selling me the plan? Or do I have to sign up as a verizon customer and then they send me the sim? And does this happen before or after I get the AOL?
AOL the line first. Then take your iP5 with your photo ID into a Verizon store and they will activate a SIM card in the iP5 for you for free. Or you can call Verizon customer service and give them your name, last four of your SSN and they will mail you a SIM card.

wheres our "RTFT" Girl when we need her lmao:eek:
hahahahahahaha - I was busy fighting with Verizon to get my damn lines back and my phones unblacklisted!!!!:eek::eek::(:(:(:(

----------

if the buyer used a credit card to fund the paypal transaction chances are they will do a chargeback if paypal sides with the seller and if the product offered was not delivered "to the buyers satisfaction" the card company will side with the buyer
How does the credit card company deal with a buyer who can't return the "goods"?

----------

So I just got my first bill since all the new lines. On my main account I'm down to five lines, all new lines with UDP, and I noticed that I had ETF charges and credits for all the lines on the day when everything quit working. I called in and she turned me back on that day, but didn't give me any details of what happened. Looking at the lines now I have contract end dates of 2016 still, but my data contract end date is 2014 (the day they were terminated and then reactivated). Wondering if this was anything that might cause me issues down the road, if my UDP might be terminated based on not being under contract, but then still be held to an ETF as the line is still under contract to 2016. Thoughts?
The data contract end date only means that you HAVE to have a data contract of $30/mo min on the line until the end date. Ironically, not having a data contract requirement helps you b/c the data requirement is a minimum of $30/mo and UDP is only $29.99/mo.

Jules! I hope you write autobiography about the day your lines went "poof". Intense.

/me goes to fix apple.com

Hey guys I understand apple glitch is over. I am currently on old NW plan and it is full with 5 lines. I am trying to get one of the phones on the plan UDP.

Any thoughts? Does anyone as UDP they are trying to get rid of that we can AOL somehow?

I am not sure how it would all work but if any of you have any insight it would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hahahah so you're trying to win the lottery. I went ahead and bought a 32GB Blue on Wednesday, it was up for all of 15 seconds before they were OOS. I really wanted 64GB. My phones not shipping until the 10th anyway, so maybe this Wed I'll luck out and grab a 64. This is honestly the worst launch of a product ever. I can't wrap my head around how they continually screw up product launches year after year.

Is your account a new account?

Spot checked a couple, so far so good. Just when we thought we were done with Verizon CSRs they are trying to pull us back in!

The account with the 5 lines I kept is a new account under my wife's name so that could be part of it...but the one they refused to reconnect under my name, that account had been around for a while with a pretty substantial monthly billing.

Appreciate the explanation on the data contract date. I know they can take it away and send me scrambling for a new rural internet solution whenever they decide, but I'm hopeful that the contract helps buy me a couple of years for other options to come available.

Thanks again Jules, helpful as always.

It is even worse that I described here. First, I was shut down by fraud and all of my lines were suspended. That happened right before the 13th, I posted about it. Was able to get everything unsuspended and then everything got disconnected. Then I got all but 1 reconnected and then boom, suspended again but this time, all the IMEIs were blacklisted. I can't tell you how long it took before I got to a supervisor who could clean up the mess. The problem was the ftard who did this didn't document what he/she did very well so I kept getting bounced around from fraud, to financial services, to customer service, to tech support and then back again to all of the departments x 3 times because no one knew what the fraud ftard did to my account.

Luckily the tier 2 tech guy figure it out and then it was just forever b/f I could get to a fraud supervisor who could fix everything.

Man did that suck!!!

First you should have Verizon remove the 5th line from the family share and make it an individual 450 minute Nationwide line with whatever TDP it has presumably 2GB. Then you could add a UDP line to your family share and then once the new line is in place, port the 2GB line's phone number to page plus and then port it back to the UDP line.

If you don't care about the TDP line's phone number there is an easier way.

I think once they are in stores at Verizon they will be plentiful. I can wait.

Especially when the phone is not cheap!!!

Interesting. I know for me they didn't refuse to reconnect, the rep couldn't reconnect the one line. Have you received a final bill on the account in your name?

Change Minutes

I have 5 line on a NATIONWIDE TLK&TXT SHARE 700 plan.

We are going to have an large overage this month on minutes.
Is there a way to up the minutes to the Nationwide Talk and Text 1400 plan for one month only? Or should I just pay overage charges whatever they may be.

Online, of course my only option is a share everything plan where I lose all of my UDP lines.

Lets say I do not care about the phone number. What is the easy way about going about this? And can someone send me a link with the plans for sale? Or if anyone has any available please email me privately. Also, on eBay I can never tell what I am getting and if they are just selling a SIM Card.

Please inform Jules thank you.

yes, you go online and select change plan and change to 1400 making it retroactive to the beginning of the billing cycle. You need to do this before the end of the billing cycle.

However, at the start of the next billing cycle you will be on the 1400 plan and so you would need to drop back down but you can't make that retroactive so do it as soon as the next billing cycle starts.

If you can't do it online, call. But you should be able to. Just scroll down to the bottom where is says see all plans or something like that.

Move the line into a subaccount and then terminate it. That will free up a spot on the family share to add a new line.

Make sure when you AOL the line that the rep can merge it into your nation wide family share plan.
