I'm close to done here so I called Verizon to cancel my daughters old line. She said I won't take effect until Nov 3. Why can't the cancel immediately and bill me for her line for the remaining days? Is this how cancellations work?
you can suspend w/o billing until then.

I think you can also port the line to page plus and then never buy a plan for it but you would have to investigate that.

Hi Juliane

They usually make you wait until the end of your billing cycle, but I have been told by another rep that YOU CAN ask them to cancel it immediately. Just give them a call and have them remove it from your account instead of waiting until the end.
 
Isuues activating new iphones on exiting lines

OK - still having the online avtivation code / switch device issues with my phones.
I have 2 exisitng grandfathered lines, 1 new UDP line I have already AOLed, 1 new UDP thats active, and 1 new one waiting for pickup at apple store.

Line 1: OG UDP Main line (used upgrade via bb.com method to give ip6 to line 2)

Line 2: OG UDP with active ip6 that was ordered via line 1's upgrade at bb.com)

Line 3a: new UDP line from apple.com that has since been AOLed and removed from account (ip6+ gold)

Line 3b: new UDP line active with ip6 gray

It won't let me activate the ip6 or ip6+ on my main line nor let me switch devices with main line.

Please see attachments - any help/insight greatly appreciated.
(hopefully this is a little clearer Jules - thanks)

This is not a pending activation. This is due to every line having a new device on it. A device has to be on a line for a certain period of time b/f it can receive the authorization text messages for device changes from what I am being told.

You will have to call to have devices switched around on your lines.

OK - but in theory if I just wait - this should resolve itself and eventually be able to receive these authorization texts?

yes, that is what I am being told but I can't get anyone to tell my how long. Some say 14 days others say 30. 30 days seems ridiculous.

It is amazing though how Verizon reps will just make up numbers like that when they have no idea what the real number is.

Yesterday, I had lengthy conversation with fraud department ( they don't see anything wrong with my account ), telesales ( they could add 10 lines if I want to ), AOL department ( well, to transfer few lines :p ) and regular 611 CSRs ( they were more worry about their service). Today, I don't see it anymore on my 5th line. Finger cross.

AOL is probably getting A LOT of calls. For what it's worthy, they've been great to me. *611, hit and miss. First thing in the morning, usually works out better for me.

I just AOL two lines back to my parents sub-account. And I figured out what happened to one of my buyer. After you receive a new line, you'd need to create a new my verizon account. If you have no phone to receive that magic text, you're SOL. You'd have to call Verizon....
Also somehow when you transfer UDP lines suspended, it cannot just go into a regular NW (so i was told), so I accidentally created another sub-account for my parent. So, as of now, they have three active accounts. The last one with 2 suspended lines with some kind of PDI. If that all make sense to you all...

hmmm that also means I have 7 spots on their account open.... hmmm..... mom and pop here's a couple hundred bucks to pay your phone bill, dont ask questions.....

why cant you receive on line 1?

Really don't want to involve vzw ever.

sometimes the system is just ****** slow. and after you've sent it to the same line (number) multiple times, you can ONLY wait.
I send the code to myself three times within 2 hrs, since the code never arrived. Even after I called CSR (*611), they sent a few more, did not receive anything. After that, you just HAVE TO wait 24 hours..... during those 24 hrs, i must have received 4 different codes that were suppose to come.

It's not a pending activation issue. It is that none of your devices have been on their lines for very long.

Yeah.. that's not pending activation. To check pending activation, simply try to upgrade that line or add a device to that line. It'll tell you pending activation.

I think I also have a pending activation (see attached image).

Yes - pick up orders are much slower yesterday/today. I ordered afternoon yesterday and didn't recieve pick up email until mid morning today.

My Line 1 iPhone 4 has been on my account for years though
So Line 1 iP4 has not been switched around on different lines - it has stayed on Line 1 for years?
 
Yes - only use upgrade via bb.com but activated the new phone on line 2, not on line 1

On another topic best buy mobile that I just went to get my note 4 f'd up my AT&T unlimited data plan. Now AT&T will fix it. I did cuss bb mobile out afterwards

Newbie here just joined. Hi!

So I have a question regarding NW plans.

I currently have 4 UDP on a NW plan.

If I were to take out one of those lines and put that in a separate sub-account, would I still be able to retain that NW plan as well as my UDP on both the Main account & newly made sub-account?

I know it's a VZW question but this ties into the whole apple store thing, because I want to get 5 lines with UDP but wasn't sure what would happen if I got it on a new sub account withOUT a line that already has a UDP or what.


Please forgive me if this did not make sense. And thanks everyone!!
