I am 0-2 in adding UDP at the Apple store without having purchased online prior. Both times that I have walked into a store and tried to purchase and choose UDP when adding a line, the option has not appeared on the handheld that the Apple reps use so I have abandoned both transactions (no I didnt run out of the store, just told them I wasnt interested if I couldnt have unlimited data).



Any idea why I cant choose the UDP option in store but have no problem using the same number(s) online and choosing UDP. The inventory in SOCAL is dry and the only option for scoring a phone the past couple of days has been in store not online.


You need to have it set up as a family plan to use in store. When picking plan, choose your family plan, then unlimited data.
 
Anyone seeing a slow down in moving the UDP? Mine were going in a few hours on eBay and now I haven't moved on in days even at $10. Any other ideas on how to sell these?
 
During the plan offering, it'll show option keep current plan NW talk & text and then More Everything Plan with various Data Plan. You need to choose Keep Current Plan then hit Next (top right). Next screen will show you the data plan. You have to Scroll Down all the way to unlimited data 29.99 plan.
I have the NW FS 700 minute payg text plan and what I see is Join an Existing Family SharePlan and I am given the option of selecting 700 minutes, no other choices. Then I select it and hit continue and I am taken to the data choices, and all the way to the right is the iPhone UL plan.

Not only that but something funky is going on with inventory showing up as available online until you go to check out and then you get an error. I am not talking about during peak refresh times but models that are showing available all through out the day.

Perfect example, if you try and buy the space gray 128gb IP6 available in zip 93101 right now, it will show available all the way until you hit purchase and then it gives an error.
I have had the same thing happen to me a few times.

Yes. It shows Nationwide Plan, you select that and hit next.
We all are seeing different screens depending on our plans.

Has anyone aol a line to someone then have them aol one of it back. If so do you have any issues ? I tried it and the aol rep put me on a sub account of the new owner evan though I am now the owner of one of the line.
the rep screwed up then.

Yeah I did no issues. Call the aol dept again line should be on your account not theirs
 
How do the employee discounts work with the nationwide plans with UDP? Is the discount applied to everything - talk, text and data?

Not sure about the texts I would have to check but mine is off the plan and data. Ud for me is 22.99 a month


And is apple even making verizon versions anymore? Past few days there has been nothing coming this way. Literally nothing on istock
 
Man, I'm on the 550 nationwide plan and I can't even add a line to my plan like you guys. I get the error once I enter in my pin on the site.

When you ship to home, when does the added line show up on your verizon account? After you activate it?

I am the only one I've ever heard of that had the line show up on myverizon before the phone was activated, and mine showed up as 2GB. Still waiting for the phone so I can return and get rid of the line.

In the meantime I AOL'd the other lines to a new account so now it's letting me order a new line on that. But the nationwide plan that shows up for me to select doesn't match what I have (I can only select 700 min share, but what I actually have is 1400 min share). Has anyone else had that happen and does it matter?

I agree that SoCal inventory is low. In my area, 91360, the only phones are the silver or SG 16GB 6's, no Plus's. I ordered one at the Apple website last night and picking up this afternoon. That is the route I would take to ensure it goes through. Saves time to. I only wanted the UDP line for my iPad. Taking the SIM out after activation and then selling the phone to get my money back. You need to scroll to the end of the data selections to get the UDP. I just added a line to my Nationwide 1400 plan.
 
I have the 550 nationwide family plan. 1 UDP, 1 dumbphone, 1 TDP.
You cannot add a new UDP line to that plan. You can't add one to the Any Mobile T&T plan either.

Yes. I did one 2-3 years ago and still have it. This person will need to know your account info to get it on there, but he's a popular Android dev so you might know of him. Completely trustworthy. PM me if you want the info's.

I have the 700 and it only allows me to select the 700. I would change your plan to the 700 min plan to add lines and then when you are done, change it back to the 1400 min plan.

Like if putting from mifi to smartphone, will I get a call to add voice and text?

No issues when you SIM swap b/t 4G LTE devices. Just don't call Verizon with a MiFi on your UDP phone line and don't ever, ever, ever set foot in a Verizon corporate store for any reason.

True. I don't recall if theirs showed up as UDP or 2GB though.

That's a good idea, when I'm ready to give it a shot I'll change it to 700.

UDP IIRC. The problem was they had already returned the phone so they then had to deal with getting the line canceled and convince Verizon that they had returned the phone. I think it wasn't difficult - Verizon just had to confirm with the particular Apple store that the phone was returned.
