Do you know if when she actually goes to add the line, if she picks unlimited everything will that cause problems with activation? I told her to pick payg texts for sure, but not sure of the minutes. Then when she activates the phone she can switch the plan to UL minutes and texts.

I can't say for sure, but part of the reason I added the line (in addition to getting the subsidized iPhone that let me sell off my T-Mobile version) was to add the $5 text option that is only available at inception of a line. I had no problems selecting 450 minutes, 250 texts, and iPhone Unlimited Data. It activated just fine yesterday.

Some of you wanted to know if the Verizon 4G LTE Broadband Router with Voice works on a UDP line http://www.novatelwireless.com/prod...erged-voice-data/verizon4gltebroadbandrouter/

Well, the answer is YES. I took the Nano SIM from a iPhone 5 that was activated on a UDP line (a UDP line my friend AOLed from me so he can have affordable high speed internet at his house) & inserted it into the router by using a Nano - Mini SIM adapter. It works as it should. 3 ethernet ports & up to 10 wifi devices can connect to it. The only thing I haven't tried yet is connecting a phone to it & making a call. I haven't had a land line in over 10 years so I am going to borrow a phone from my neighbor later after he gets home.

For whatever reason if I have to call Verizon I will put the SIM back into the iPhone 5 so I don't run the gamble of loosing the UDP line.

Does anyone know how to access the menu to enable bridge mode on the http://www.novatelwireless.com/prod...erged-voice-data/verizon4gltebroadbandrouter/ modem?

The options on the menu you access via verizon are limited. I have searched but have not found anything yet. Any specific forums for these type of modems?

:D I know the guy who was ahead of me in line at the Apple store this morning picking up 2 16gb iphones was a member of this forum but he was gone like the wind and I didn't want to say anything in the store - scored another plus 128 SG scan activated in store (rep said they prefer not opening the boxes because it's faster - they even started an express lane for unopened iphones!) and instantly showed on account as UDP - c'mon istock let's roll !!!

thanks, I am going to have her select 450 min, payg texts and iPhone UDP to be safe. Now if the 64GB SG iP6 would just come in stock!!!!

Awesome! So all of the voice calls are VoLTE?

No, the phone side of it is transmitted via 1xRTT (2G) service. I think these things came out about a year or so prior to XLTE service.

Edit: Just looked up the release date of these routers, September 24th, 2013.

Dang you Jules, after spending so much time over at XDA I think I'm going to throw a new ROM on my LG. I've behaved myself with my last two phones, now you're making me relapse.

So the voice calls use voice minutes then?

I now have the same iP5s on 5 lines at once - 4 suspended w/o billing, 1 active (will be suspended w/o billing tomorrow). The iP5s was activated on each line using a different SIM card and at no time was the iP5s on 2 active lines simultaneously (don't know what would happen if I did that).

I did that on my GNex but with the Moto X, none of the ROMs had the Moto X features like touchless controls, always listening, assist, etc. or they didn't when I was hanging over there. I am pretty happy with Xposed and it sure is easy to use.

Once I get my N6 I am going to try ROMs again. Also, I have my GNex on one of these new UDP lines (I put it on a line b/f I knew I could put the same phone on multiple lines using different SIMs) and I think I might put a KitKat ROM on it just to practice my skillz, lol!

What model did you try it on?

I wish I had my GNex still, I think I threw that thing against a wall lol. The only issue is I use a Chromebook for everything so I'm going to have to dust off a PC to get the downloads etc.

Awesome! We should come up with some sign we use in-store to signal to each other, lol!!!!

It makes an excellent Chromecast controller - the WiFi on the GNex is solid, unlike the Samsung radios.

Yes.

In web browser while connected to your router wifi, go to 192.168.1.1 and access settings from there.

Thank you for the help but that takes me to the verizon setting menu. It is fairly limited. There has to be a back door into this router to access all of the settings. I am specifically wanting to turn on bridge mode.

Click one of the two links in my post.

Good point, I use my Nexus 7 for those purposes though. Good riddance GNex ;)

Geez! I'm being inundated with all kinds of questions about AOL unlimited lines from eBay members! One lady asked about 20 questions and didnt even buy the line!!! So annoying.

Someone needs to smack me upside my head for calling the AOL department at night! I know better! I just waited 25 minutes on hold only to get a rep who doesn't know what she is doing!!!

Gah, I have a lot I have to get done tomorrow and wanted to be able to cross this off of my list to do!

Lol, how are you even getting attention on eBay?

I'm out. Just tried to AOL a line and was told my wife's account is under fraud suspicion . It's been fun!

How many did you do? Are they not letting you AOL the line?

I think Marky said you can get them to clear that if you call the fraud department or something like that. Maybe he can chime in.

I have 2 watchers for my sole extra UDP. No questions so far.

How many lines have you flipped, may I ask?

Not really sure, lol. I think around 20; can't really remember how many phones I shipped :D I did have a rep flip out over how many lines I'd AOL'd while I was outside the Apple store... I blew him off like it was no big deal and went back in to get another phone. I'm tottenj's wife by the way

Ok fill us in. What are the details on the loyalty plan? Do you have to have had the account for x amount of years? Off contract? Any other catches?
