Also the Macbook vastly outsells the Pro making it a much hotter property.

Agreed, but the last update for that was in May. School already started, everyone I'm sure abused the student discount with iPod deal before school started. I think Apple could wait until MacWorld for new MacBooks and MacBook Pros with new design and other new features... Maybe this is a diversion and a MacPro is really coming and not a MacBook... But I doubt that. lol

Why can't they do both?

Many *want* to believe

We are all still believing that a MacPro will be introduced by November 13th, correct? I don't want to get sucked in this week in buying a MacPro.

I would say that I believe that a Mac Pro won't be introduced *before* 12 or 13 November - since that's the Intel announcement of Penryn availability.

So, sometime between the 12th and MacWorld would make sense.... ;)

I can wait until November. It's not like the 12th is that far away.

I am praying for new displays as well. Specifically, a 24" size. Dual 24's would be oh so terribly nice. The current ones are beautiful, I just don't want to buy, then a new one come out a month later.

Ok, but we don't want it to be MacWorld. I need mine no later than November 14th. Have so many projects due. I don't want to be forced to buy an older one that day. So frustrating.

Hopefully the MacPro does come out by November 13th. Apple loves to put out their products as soon as it's available or two weeks before, like Clovertown. lol

Has there ever been a day Apple updated a computer that wasn't a Tuesday or a Wednesday? Any Thursday or Friday Updates besides OS'?

It'll be pretty dumb if Apple releases a new Macbook sooner than a MacPro line up that REALLY needs it...

hurry up already, I want to get rid of this crappy iMac and get myself something that can actually handle the workload I put on it!!

I know, it seems like the MacBook was just updated. Yes it was May 2007 for the Macbook, but technically it was August of 2006 for the MacPro. April 2007 doesn't count. I needed to update my computer 5 months ago. If Leopard came out in the Spring I would have a MacPro right now.

That MacPro looks so lonely on that list. haha.

Definitely been around a while with no upgrade.

I guess even Apple didn't consider Clovertown an upgrade.[/size]

Oh, say it ain't so!

Apple got a super-duper almost exclusive deal on Clovertown chips that almost nobody else wanted because they burned 150 watts each.

That *must* be an upgrade, if nothing else an upgrade to your monthly power bill!
