Um... I think that was kinda the point. Jobs was genius, but an overbearing, abrasive, insulting genius. Forstall is all that minus the genius part. Jobs got away with it because he was unique and it was his company.

Apple went public December 12, 1980.

Lawyers vs Engineers

I'm getting really sick of paying Apple's lawyers instead of their engineers.

If you pay an engineer, he creates technology that advances the world and makes things better for everybody.

If you pay a lawyer, he creates pretty much nothing.

Oh thanks. I think everyone knows what one means when they say it was Steve's company, even though it's publicly traded. For a CEO, he had unique influence that other CEOs don't usually have... and that allowed him unique latitude to be the overbearing leader he was. Those days are over, which is good. Mature, respectful, stayed leadership is better.

But why would the number keep going up? Surely if it was that bad people would stop upgrading? No one is required to upgrade. I haven't installed it on my 3rd gen iPad.

Because it nags you to do it, and most people don't even know what iOS7 is. They just hit install.

Wrong. Ive is arrogance personified and his chest hair is ugly. Forstall is the next Steve Jobs, and Cook and Ive damn well knew it so they forced him out at the first opportunity.

It must be in the human nature to first complain and moan the heck about somebody's work, and then when that someone is gone, talk bout how genius he was.

Forstall was a dinosaur and I am glad he is gone.

Which is why the entire patent system and the concept of intellectual property itself needs to go die in a grease fire.

Forstall was a rising young exec and I am upset he is gone.

Yes, it's pretty much common practice that Apple shuts down their technology departments when their lawyers go out hunting the bad korean guys... so really your dollar goes towards that bullet that will end up in Samsungs execs head.

Funny simple world you have built up there for yourself. Good luck with that.

So Scott Forstall wasn't arrogant? He refused to listen to other people in the company and acted like he was always on the right path when he was actually secretly emailing his employees for new ideas.

Jony Ive seems like a neutral guy to me. I don't see how his appearance has anything to do with his work. His hardware design is unparalleled. We haven't seen much of his software UI design yet, so it's too early to judge.

They should use the opportunity to bring Scott back to create a grown up's version of iOS for those who dislike iOS 7 rainbow plain edition.

But what would you do without material for your moronic "blog"?

My personal favourite at Apple is currently Craig Federighi (in terms of performing). When he first demoed Lion back then he was pretty nervous but I think now he's grown up the the role and I really love his presentations. He looks humble, yet entertaining, makes you really believe that what you're seeing is awesome. And I can imagine that a lot of nice features in iOS 7 come from him (or his team), because with OS X they are doing an excellent job.
In comparison, I never really enjoyed Forstall's presentations nor his ideas.

Such a waste of time this damages retrial is. Samsung is already guilty of blatant copying, and it's not like Apple is going to get a penny from them ever.

When Forstall was in charge, software updates did not suck like they do now. Forstall was the man and he is missed.

Forstall destroyed the iTunes app. Since he is gone, it is slowly recovering. Forstall was responsible for Maps; but then he was the only one insisting that he did everything right.

Scott Testimony!!!

"Your Honor, last one year as I was warming my bench without a computer and without access to Apple email & communication system , I got f..d up with my memory as I was busy with "special" f..in project and I am unable to rekindle my memory lane to continue to be the witness in the case" in heart " let me first get the hell out of this court"

Well Federighi is better than Ive or Oafsfield, I'll give you that much. He's not badass enough to be a CEO though.

What???

Scott Forstall designed the first mobile OS the world had ever seen. What has Tim Cook ever designed? An extra half inch on the iPhone screen?

Are you kidding us??? Scott Forstall did NOT design the first mobile OS. Just doing a simple search brings up lots of info on the history of mobile devices. None of which were invented by Scott Forstall.

Good idea. Your trolling pretty much killed your argument a while ago.

I stated, "Just stop. It's really not a question of who started what. Let the litigation take place and let the chips fall where they may and everyone will just need to get over it."

You clearly have a different idea of what trolling is.
