Thanks Dale! You should really come up to Boundary Bay, Delta, BC if you ever feel like driving out from the Washington area. There were a few cars with WA plates and one from Alaska!

More birds from me...

Short Eared Owl?

I got about three to four more decent photos with my lame equipment. Everything else was garbage, either too blurry, not enough focus, too far, too much sun. blah blah blah. I can go on for days. Someone give me 300mm f2.8 VR for Christmas please?!!! :)

This one says van Gogh to me....
nice shot.

----------

I just got back from shooting some birds. I was really disappointed to see so many photographers with MEGA LONG lenses walking all over the vegetation and following the Snowy Owls that migrated down to the area. There are HUGE signs that clearly say to STAY OFF the area and stick to the trail and use your lens but no one other then myself obeys by the rules. They spend 8000 dollars or more for a piece of glass and 500 or more on TC converters yet they still need to get closer? WTF!!!

Anyways, excuse my rant but no one listens to me as I'm just a little kid :(

Here is my in flight photo of a Northern Harrier?

I was trying to capture a Short Earned Owl but it didn't fly by close enough for me to snap a photo of it. The Harriers love to wiz right by all the spectators. I guess they are use to it as they are constantly there all year round.

Nicely captured, and thanks for following the rules.... The birds appreciate it:D too:)

Made with a Nikon D7000, SB900 and 18-200 lens at the Tienen - Belgium Christmas Market last week. No post processing. With me what you see is what you get!

Have a look at Designer Dale's excellent instructions on how to post flickr links. The link is in the first post of this thread.

I stayed at this one spot on Alki taking pictures of downtown Seattle before sunrise and these geese had no problem with me being there. Once it was light enough for me to turn the camera towards them they suddenly had an issue with me, this shot was right before they walked away.

Ever get that feeling that you clicked the post button, but really didn't?

Mine for today.

EXIF Summary: 1/1000s f/4.0 ISO100 Tamron 28-75 f/2.8@47mm
Didn't notice that red artifact on the right until I got into post. I'm stuck with it.
