You never fail to impress.. absolutely stunning image, well done! I love the contrast of light on the mountains :) Where is that?

More beautiful light from you, Reef. Is this one also from New Zealand?

Thanks! :) Yes, that was at Lake Tekapo.

Nice harbour shots pdxflint, I like the juxtaposition of mass, transport and direction going on here.

Me too, the trees are forming kind of a cicular pattern, for me simple yet effective!

Not feeling all that motivated to be creative today. So, I'm going with another flower blooming in my yard picture. I tried to be a little creative by including the neighbor's trash bin behind it.

A few months back, a friend and I collaborated on a blog post that combined his short essay with my photos to present the plight of the farmers of Canlubang in the Philippines. This is one of my images from that post. I'm not real happy with how most of the photos came out so I won't repost them here. (I only had a short time with the farmers so I got what I got.) If you're interested to see the rest of the images and read about their story, click on the photo for a link to the post.

Newbie here..

New to MR and a (very) amature photographer.. No fancy DSLR here, just a nice little Fuji Finepix S1000fd..

Uploaded this to photobucket, so I'm sure it's been butchered... I need to look in to signing up for flickr, I expect. Constructive criticism is exceedingly welcome!

Another great harbour shot. With great light as well. Have you tried cropping a little of the bottom (just keeping the reflection of the name), somehow my eyes
wander down on the image, before going to the boat itself.
