^^I love that shot! OK, I'd crop in a bit at top and left to get the horizon out of the center, and I would straighten it, but I absolutely love the whimsy of it. Great light, too! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the comment and the great suggestion. I had an interesting experience with the shots I took today. It was a constant -10 to -11C... so the camera was cold. And EVERY speck of dust on my sensor was like it had a spotlight on it ! I have some cleanin' to do. Barry
^ ^ ^ ^ I've got mixed feelings... I agree it could be cropped slightly to decenter the horizon, but I'd not crop it quite as much from the top... leave some blue sky, and perhaps a little more from the left. What I like better about the first one is it gives me more of a sense of openness and space and the awareness of the big sky above, where the cropped one makes me feel more cramped, somehow...
Thanks for the comment pdxflint, that's another great capture you have there, the nice sharp in-focus rider and splash with the surrounding action oof.
I was having a difficult time coming up with a picture for today. I had these two shots and neither one were all that interesting. Then I decided to "combine" them to double my son in motion. So I went for the cheezy Photoshop double person effect.
Wow... that's an amazing collection of horsepower and classic Le Mans type cars (or they look like the 24 hr. race cars.) Interestingly, when comparing the 2008 Peugeot to these cars, they look very similar. Nice photo.
The girl was riding in a Halloween cyclocross race approaching my position. Something told me to turn around right after she rode by me, and I did just in time to catch a couple shots of this extracurricular activity...
