Too many cloudy, dreary days lately or heavy work schedule. Got a few free moments during midday (not ideal picture taking time) and ran off into the backwoods. This is by a cross country ski/snow mobile area nearby:

It's 12:04am Sunday January 9th 2010. May this photo please count for Saturday January 8th 2010? I ask because I would like to post another photo later on in the late evening. If not no worries.

^ ^ ^ ^ I highly doubt anyone would mind... at least speaking for myself. I never look at the timestamps on the posts anyway and figure if they're reasonably spaced (within the 24 hours/one photo rule) should be just fine. This started as an informal thread years ago, and the basic "one per day" isn't now or never has been spelled out in legal language. ;) So if one is posted after midnight I don't think you'd have to wait until after midnight to post the other one if you generally do one each "night." Life doesn't always fit into neat 24 hr structure.

For today...

Some really great pictures here so far this year.

What I want to know is how you got to the moon to take this ...

I'm really enjoying these cycle cross shots, but I'm worried that they're going to end up being an ad for washing powder ;).

This is just sensational. Like a dream.

I don't pretend to be a photographer, but, I took this a minute ago :)

This isn't the shot I wanted to use today. I had a better one of this bowl lined up, but was out of focus and with terrible exposure. You can see it (with the best cleanup I was able to do on it) in my photostream next to this shot on Flickr. I bet no one else has ruined the perfect shot before, and I'm the first, right? :)
