I'm gonna break the "one a day" rule because I like this picture too much not to share it. I wish I had processed this one first because I'd have posted it instead of the earlier one. Also, no focus problems with this one. :)

This was right after the baby was baptized. It is apparently very tiring and requires a nap in Grandma's lap.

You know it's winter when there are icicles on the hydrangea

:mad:dammit I can't figure out how to post it from flickr... grrr

Step 1: View photo in the size you want on Flickr.

Step 2: Right click, Copy Image URL.

Step 3: While posting on the forums, click on the
insertimage.gif
icon and paste the URL.

YOU"RE DONE!

This works for any image on the tubes.

Well, that works but doesn't meet the Flickr requirements of a linkback, so best to read Dale's instructions. Maybe we need a sticky for these instructions, but in a nutshell... you need to also make your photo link to Flickr. It's actually easy when you're in Flickr. Go to the pic you want to link to, and click the "share" button on the top. In the drop down menu, click BBCode radio button, and in the other dropdown click which size you want to appear here. Once that's done, copy the code from the text box, and paste it into a message being composed here. You don't need all the lines of code, just the first [ url ] [ /url ] tags and everything between them (double click to select the first paragraph.) It will look something like this:

http://url_of_image.jpg[/img ][/url ]

Basically, you're wrapping the [ img ] tags with [ url ] tags.

I was unaware that this "Linkbackage" was even a rule. Huh. Does this make the views on these forums translate to views on flickr or somethig?

[quote="VirtualRain, post: 11694732"]Wow! Manual exposure?...

Indeed.

When I looked out the window this morning there was some condensation, I dragged my finger in it and it made this rather neat looking crystal-ish thing.

Second Snow (it never snows here)

Subject: Kayla

I shot this long exposure at around 1:00am as the fluffy snow was untouched by anyone else. Kudos to Kayla for standing as still as possible for the whole 2 second long exposure!

It's not a rule here, but it's part of the Flickr terms of agreement when you open a Flickr account. And, no, views here don't translate to "views" on Flickr unless someone clicks on the linked pic, and it takes them to the pic on its Flickr page. Just viewing the page here on this forum won't count as a view on Flickr, so no view mongering...

The business end.

Bruce Canepa gave us a tour of the shop areas after we were finished with the museum. This car was getting prepped for display.

Ha! I took a very similar photo. I may as well post it to celebrate shooting out one's window when it is ass-clenchingly cold outside. I'm so not a winter person .
