Photo Stream iPhone Icon Hints at the iPhone 5 Design

I wasn't formally "quoting" (hence the missing quote box). I merely copied a post from another thread in which the poster said he was positive iPhone 5 wouldn't have a bigger screen. And since I think this meaningless little icon is telling and showing us something (possibly bigger screen) I figured I'd quote him like he asked us to do.
iPhone screen size is perfect
I hate the larger screens. Those phones seem way too big and unwieldy. I like the way the iPhone fits in my pocket perfectly. If they make it larger I will be buying an iPhone 4 and waiting to see what happens.

I'm hoping / thinking they might do the 4S with the regular screen for those people that like the existing screen size but you get the nice new A5, then the iPhone 5 might have a few extra features but the larger screen. Best of both worlds?
Ummm...totally related. And I wasn't "replying" to him. Quoting someone doesnt have a be a direct reply to the person u are quoting. He asked to be quoted because he was positive that iPhone 5 wouldn't boast a bigger screen. Since I think this little, meaningless icon leak is the most qualified rumor of them all, and I also believe it shows a bigger screen, my post is totally related. In fact, it meshes beautifully with this thread. Thanks though!

Did anyone think that it could be the itouch? Maybe apple just Won't release an iPhone this year. In February everyone thought the iPhone release would be in June or July and when it wasn't released people jumped to the next possible release date. So when it won't release in September or October people will probaly say that it will release in December and so on. And the image that guy drew looks nothing looks nothing like the pixel.

I'm not seeing the wider screen in that image. The black borders are still there and look to be pretty much the same size.
Also, if it were true and the new iPhone has a larger screen and a wide home button, how is it a ripoff of the Galaxy II? Wouldn't having a single physical home button be an example of them ripping off Apple again?
Also, it's not as if Apple saw the designs for the Galaxy and decided to quickly slap together a phone that copies its look. Apple nearly always gets major points for their designs, so why imitate someone else?

That's true except for all the times Jobs has said Apple makes things they know their customers will love and will be excited for.

Based on this case image and another and using this icon as a guide, here's my guess.I can definitely see it fitting the rumored iPhone 5 case leaks. Hmm..
The screen is centered, 1024x640 (16x10) 4.1 inches diagonal at about 293 ppi.
The home button is touch/gesture sensitive (should be easy to back-light).

I don't need a bigger iPhone in my pocket. I'm willing to keep the current screen size if they can make the iPhone faster and still maintain current battery usage time at the very least.

Rendering based on the icon design. Fits a 3.7" screen nicely with the height at about 4" and the width the same as the iPhone 4.
