I think this image must be a joke. It looks like some in-house printer has done this in about five minutes doing a Google search and using the first image they find of a snow leopard.
I thought Apple were all about good design.

I'm not convinced. The 'X' theme has been going for years, I can't see them throwing it out now. And the image of a Snow Leopard just seems a bit tacky, very un-Apple.

I agree soon as I saw the image of the animal I thought "tacky" and not very apple like. It also is the obvious thing to do which they dont really incorporate in there designs.

I like the snow leopard, sooo much better than the space aurora thingy.
The leopard default was the first thing changed on six Leopard macs here. the desktop and the boot screen changed back to Tiger blue.

Yep, it's definitely legitimate. Any info on whether the version depicted is the Brazilian one (also in Portuguese)?
Edit: saw the answer above, it's the Portuguese version...("optimizado" instead of "otimizado")...thanks
There was a post on the last page I think saying that it's Portuguese not Brazillian Portuguese because of some differences in spelling.
hmm the snow leopard on the cover seems to be from one of the snow leopard desktop pictures that ships with the system:

But this could be cause the first one shows the package while the third picture shows the manual.

Look at the 2nd picture, at the formatting and alignment of the columns, specifically the disparity of spacing between 1st and 2nd and 2nd and 3rd text columns, and ask yourself if that is really coming from the company that revolutionised the DTP market... this is Apple, they aren't that sloppy surely...
I installed Snow Leopard GM version in my iMac and macbook. However I encounter a problem with textmate and latex, after digging for a while the problem is with the rubgy crashing

So if you use textmate and other applications that you consider critical, before update to snow leopard, see if your applications work well!

Thats not the problem...cider ports and transgaming wrappers are the problem.
I have had a look at page 2 in aperture used the loupe at 200% there is some strange squiggle like water mark across the text and in continues across the laptop
it does indeed look very strange, but i would bet its genuine , but then again i am NOT a betting man
