While we're on the topic of off-topic, I think that La Salsa would have been a wiser and healthier choice, there didn't happen to be a La Salsa around did there?
Nice.
I'm sending my form this monday to get the discount here in Brazil.
I couldn't read much, but it seems the Brazilian Portuguese version.
Wow...looks great!![]()
I'm glad they aren't wasting money on a $29 box.![]()
I'm not convinced. The 'X' theme has been going for years, I can't see them throwing it out now. And the image of a Snow Leopard just seems a bit tacky, very un-Apple.
I say fake.
Everyone:
A good friend works at Apple's Cupertino headquarters. He sent me a snapshot of Apple's install disc for Snow Leopard. You can thank me later for this scoop.

+1.
The image/design on the packaging is not compelling at all, like Leopard was.
Looks legit!
Yep, it's definitely legitimate. Any info on whether the version depicted is the Brazilian one (also in Portuguese)?
Seem to me like a fake. Just look on bottom of 1st and 3rd picture. On the 1st one is displayed bigger part of SL then on the 3rd one. Strange don't you think?
hmm the snow leopard on the cover seems to be from one of the snow leopard desktop pictures that ships with the system:

I will be disappointed if Steve doesn't actually walk out onto stage with an actual snow leapard, on a leash.![]()

Edit: saw the answer above, it's the Portuguese version...("optimizado" instead of "otimizado")...thanks![]()
If game developers decide to go with the Mac platform with SL, imagine how great the games would be.
Look at the 2nd picture, at the formatting and alignment of the columns, specifically the disparity of spacing between 1st and 2nd and 2nd and 3rd text columns, and ask yourself if that is really coming from the company that revolutionised the DTP market... this is Apple, they aren't that sloppy surely...
